Upcoming project: Weird fishing locations! With fish!

Hey chooms, hope your week is going well so far!

Wanted to post some info about the next maps I'm working on. After the mission that was the frog boat, I wanted to do something smaller and easier, I settled on wanting to make some weird fishing locations and one thing lead to another and now 5 fantastic creators are making a unique fish for each of the 5 locations! Included some photos I'm using as reference too. 

As mentioned, there are 5 different locations which I'll go over below (not settled on release order yet):

1. Tree tops; I was inspired by an article I read a bunch of years ago about Redwood trees having huge waterlogged fern mats the size of school buses high in their canopy that are home to unique creatures like crustaceans which is wild. I love this idea, its so fantastical. 

2. Underwater brine pools; Taken straight from the real life brine pools that form under water, looking like pools and lakes. Irl brine pools are basically death traps, I don't think much, if anything, can live within them, but with some artistic license the brine pool map will be home to a unique fish. Also thermal vents because they look cool and I wanna shoehorn them in. 

3. Crystal caves; Based on the giant crystal cave in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico. Totally absurd place, some real 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' shit lol Gigantic crystals are just straight up fantasy and I can't believe that actually exists. 

4. Feywild; Gotta do a feywild map, its a Stained Karbon staple after all lol Still brainstorming this one but I want giant mushrooms with pools in them, but also something else interesting happening that isn't also too hard to pull off in a short amount of time, don't need to scope creep myself again. 

5. Astral; Lots of floating rocks, pools in the rocks. The fun part is that the pools on the floating rock pillars are vertical, while the pools on the main platform are horizontal so the fish would travel between these pools (in some fashion, no spoilers lol). 

Hope this project sounds interesting and useful. You probably don't have to use the maps for fishing, nothing specifically limiting them to that if you see another use. Planning on having the first location out by early next week.
