I am not a pilot, but I have been in coding for over 40 years now. When you have different electronic systems that need to talk to one another, but they communicate in different ways, then what you need is an interface that will "sit in the middle " and "translate". You don't need to re-invent the wheel and spend multi-million amounts on something completely new. Am I missing something about the video? Don't ATC and planes have systems that can be interfaced without heavy modification, so messages can be pushed back and forth?
