finishing up the macrowave experiments
Added 2024-09-10 21:44:50 +0000 UTCAfter a nightmare day of filming where all the wrong things kept exploding, I had a very successful day where everything worked perfectly. Of particular note is that I finally squeezed a rich indigo color out of indium plasma, and it took alloying it with a little bit of gallium to do so. At this point I've tried cooking and ionizing all the main stuff I wanted to do, although I'll still try a few more random things as well as do a short segment on EMPing stuff. I've also decided to save audio modulation stuff for a separate video because this video will probably be fairly long as is.
Editing this video is going to be pretty rough because there was basically no planning involved and I just had to try a bunch of stuff to see what was cool and what wasn't. Now I have to turn a massive heap of footage into a coherent story, as well as come up with explanations for some of the observed effects. That means the final vid is still weeks away from being finished. It will be worth the wait though!

Thanks, I missed that it was inside the cage and you outside.

2024-09-10 23:16:07 +0000 UTCother than one mishap, the oven is very well sealed. the strongest field i've measured outside the door is 30x lower than what the FDA considers safe. i'm not wearing the helmet for these experiments since I'm outside of my big faraday cage. i'll wear the helmet for the EMP testing though

2024-09-10 22:48:31 +0000 UTCis this turbidity from something like evaporative convection currents or whats the phenomena named? The colors were cool on this one. It was very violent.

2024-09-10 22:45:04 +0000 UTCOne angry plasma storm with wicked color. Is the microwave closed so no exiting of microwaves and do you wear any protection like the helmet ?
