It's been a wild past couple weeks between round two of testing and open sauce. I got the liver biopsy 4 days before flying out. It sucked, and still hurts, but I'm glad it's over with. When I was in recovery, one of the nurses heard me talking and ran in and asked "are you styropyro??" 😂
I got the results when my second flight to open sauce was taxiing on runway. as expected, the biopsy didn't actually diagnose the problem, but it did show that the extent of chronic liver damage is still relatively minor. I'm quite content with those results, even if it means that what I have is extremely rare and unlikely to have a cure. my next move after seeing my liver doc again will probably be going to a specialty clinic assuming my insurance doesn't have another fit. since posting my video, I've also gotten a few offers to participate in research and clinical trials to better understand my condition. I may take up one of those offers.
over the next week i'll be mostly just catching up on emails and doing a little work on my decrepit house. i'll post some pics from open sauce before long, and i'll be getting back to video making soon.
