enormous vaccuum tube

I guess it's time I'll admit to this fairly irresponsible impulse purchase of mine a while ago. This is a soviet tetrode rated for 80kW of output power, and if it's like every other soviet tube I've used, it'll be able to do substantially more than that. This beast weighs 33kg / 73lbs. The dream project for this is throwing my full 100kW power hookup at a "demon circuit" based on this tube. However, this is quite uncharted territory and would be quite a challenge to pull off. An easier project with the tube would be to build it as a classic tesla coil, and this would easily be a world record for vacuum tube driven coils. Honestly, I'd like to do both projects, but I'm not sure which one I'll attempt first.

As for the health stuff, maybe I spoke too soon on ruling out cancer because the docs ordered two CT scans lol. I still think I'm just built different, but being me, I know I'm going to be wasting way too much time reading medical literature in the near future.

As mentioned already know when to push away from the online reading will help manage the emotions. Stay positive!

And here I thought my jonesing for Sovtek 6c33 tubes used formally in military applications now makes a good audio amplifier. This tube would be a monster Class A audio amp. Imagine the 'Honey, look what I made' What is the part number or post a data sheet - would be fun to look at. I would say Tesla coil first to understand how best to work with the new tetrode, new power supply, the 3 phase 20kva line from the local utility and so on.

Hoping for the best for your scans! I've also been to quite a many scans and tests within the last couple of years. Didn't get away with nothing but dodged some nasty ones, at least based on the medical sites I didn't read beforehand. Honestly, better hit the med sites unless something comes up. Just about any symptom has links to every disease. It's the definition of waste of time and a potential source of anxiety.... That vacuum tube looks sick though!

What a beast! Good luck with your scans, & stay off the medical sites! lol
