Well, this sucks...

Got a bitchin new set for the next phase of Unit 68, and the fucker doesn't work. No matter what I do, rendering grinds to a halt around 90% and then nothin. I've blown about 40 hours in render time alone trying to make it work. So, in the interest of transparency, here is what is going to happen next. I'm going to work on a wholly unrelated image using entirely different sets, props, figures, etc (got any requests?). I'm doing this to make sure there aren't any other issues going on in my software/hardware, which seems unlikely but I have to rule it out first. If all is well on that front, then I will have to try a different set and see what happens. Deadline for image ideas is end of Friday, July 26. I will choose whatever tickles my fancy, and make whatever changes necessary to ensure speed and quality.

All of this will take time, which you good people are paying for. As I said earlier, please feel free to bail until I get my ducks back in a row.
