bad week for receiving packages
Added 2020-10-12 18:01:02 +0000 UTCIn the course of little over a week, I had two vacuum tubes that arrived smashed and had another box containing laser parts seized by customs. I'll probably be able to get my laser parts back from customs, but I'll be eating at least some of the loss on these tubes. The tube in the first picture isn't shattered, but the filament is totally destroyed. I was going to use that one to upgrade my big plasma generator, and in fact I ordered that one in July! The tube that is completely obliterated was supposed to be a backup for the large tesla coil I'm building right now.
It's a real shame that these were destroyed, not only because of the plans I had for them, but because they sat around in perfect condition for decades, only to get destroyed in transit.
It looks like my next vid will have to be on stuff I already have on hand lol.

one had pretty pathetic packaging and the other one had decent packaging, but still not enough to survive being shipped across the world
