more capacitor banks
Added 2020-08-22 20:45:57 +0000 UTCAfter waiting for MONTHS, the rest of my soviet doorknob capacitors have arrived from Ukraine! These are going to be used in the tank cap of my giant vacuum tube tesla coil. I chose these specific capacitors as they are by far the lowest price caps that are rated for high RF powers. In fact, the final bank will be rated for over a megawatt of CW reactive RF power.
Since I'm going to have to make so many electrical connections, I'm thinking I'm going to use some crazy geometry in the bank. My favorite idea so far is a pentagonal antiprism, but I'm open to suggestions. :D
