Smallest drone
Added 2017-12-06 19:41:30 +0000 UTCWhat is the smallest (or more preferably, lightest) quadcopter on the market right now? I want to see if I can get it to take off with a laser and solar cell.

As a moth fan, consider opposed shape memory alloy wires heated alternately to flap wings.

I guess as long as you can supply enough energy without melting any parts it would work I suppose you could also target a laser on the solar cell while in flight to supplement the sun's charge and keep a drone up in the air indefinitely... I don't think there are any quadcopters that can sustain flight on the sun's energy alone, but perhaps sun + laser would power it enough
