Ruby Laser Test Fire (+ updates)
Added 2017-11-30 21:28:55 +0000 UTCI've put off posting the ruby laser vid for too long. :O It's been a while since I've fired it so I need to tear down the cavity and clean the optics, but it is a monster. IIRC there was about 13kJ to the flashlamp here. The electric field on the mirrors (custom made by Esco Optics) is on the order of megavolts per meter.
Unfortunately I'm sick now...can barely speak so won't be posting anything until I'm better. Today I started working on pt 2 for the chemical formulary vid...I don't need to speak to mix up the recipes at least lol.
