Oh yes I have been really excited for this one, Didi! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 The finished piece is just gorgeous! I immediately love the colours, both for Rosalina and the background. I particularly like how the background is dark at the top, with Rosalina's golden hair really popping against it. The background colours have this nice opposition to Rosalina's colours, with Rosa being gold at the top with black tones beneath, while the background is the reverse and it creates a striking image 🖤💛 The rendering here is just beautiful as always, with her hair having such lovely, painterly textures. And I like how her hair is more subtly shining, it has large areas of bright gold that smoothly blend into the darker shadows, with only a thin line of bright white shine running across the fringe. I also like that some of the edges of her hair have this soft orange glow that goes well with the shadows and makes her hair look even warmer and more vibrant 🥰 The black part of her outfit looks great, I especially like the big, poofy shoulders with their painterly textures and deeper shadows where the cloth sinks inwards. The plane changes are nice and big too with large areas of brighter tones on top and thinner shadows along the bottom. I also like that the subtle lighting/shine along the black is tinted gold, giving the material a warmer feel. The area around her breasts is lovely too with the thick, black core-shadows and the bright, golden edge-lighting really accentuating the shapes of her breasts. The black of her glove too is very nice with that golden tint to it and you did a lovely job painting the fingers and the way they bend and press onto her face 😸 The sleeves on the arms are lovely too with a soft gradient between the bright white and the gentle but warm shadows and the shapes of the forearms show through really well. And the white leotard of the outfit looks wonderful too with soft and smooth textures with more subtle plane changes, with the main one being the bright section over her ribs contrasting with the darker sections below for her stomach. And I like the blue tinting on her black thigh-highs, making it contrast well with the warmer tones of both her thighs and the golden "sky" behind her. The areas of skin that we do see here just look gorgeous! The smoothness and softness of her hips and thighs are simply beautiful. I really love the subtle and smooth plane changes for her hips and her lower thigh, with such seamless transitions from light to dark tones. The warm, orange tones along the edges of her hips and thighs are really nice too, adding even more warmth and vibrancy to her. Her raised thigh really pops too with that much stronger light shining on it and I like how it smoothly blends into her skin tones on one side, while having a sharp edge on the other, making that large light look even more striking. And lastly, her face is just gorgeous! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I really like the little spot of light on her nose, making it pop against all of the surrounding shadows. Likewise, the corners of her lips, eye and middle of her eye-lid also stand out nicely with their own spots of light. The texturing and crease of skin around the eye-lid look great and you know I love that beautiful blue for the iris too 💙💙 The interaction between her finger and lips is really well done with how it pushes her lower lip down. I like that the tip of the finger is being tinted red by her mouth too and the little shine spots on her lips are lovely. (Oh I almost forgot her crown which does have nice painterly textures and a mix of warm and cool blending, with a lovely soft shine on the jewels) Beautiful work on this painting, Didi! It is such a treat to see you paint Rosalina, especially with 2B's outift!
