Oh I've been very excited for this one! Like I said before, Mileena is my favourite of the MK lady ninjas and your paintings of Kitana and Jade are some of my favourites too 😻😻😻 Well Mileena here looks fantastic! 💜💜💜💜💜 I like the colours a lot here, the neutral grey background lets the vibrant and warm tones of Mileena's skin, eyes and clothes really pop and within her clothes, you have other smaller colour interactions going on that add even more vibrancy to her. And even within the background, there are nice textures and hints of warmer and cooler greys mixed in to keep it interesting 😸 Looking at Mileena's outfit, I love the overall textures to it with a mixture of stark shines like on her gloves and breasts, with softer, more smooth elements elsewhere, like the mask and her raised leg. Looking at her forearms, I really like how the shine is rendered with harsh bright lighting running alongside a thin shadow. The overall forms and plane changes are really well defined too with smaller details like creases at her wrist or the little bumps of light and edge-lighting along the base of her fingers are great too! I really like the overall gradient in tone too, her mask and gloves are quite bright, with her boots being much darker, while the main outfit is a nice mid-tone but with the shine on the breasts still drawing attention to that area. I also like the different coloured edge-lighting, like some bright red-pink along the bottom of her raised arm, as well as a pale light along the bottom of the lower arm and then also the purple light running down her calf. I especially like that area with that light being alongside an especially thick, dark shadow which contrasts with the softer, brighter tones in the centre of the calf. And lastly for her clothes, the mask too is really well done with a striking contrast between light and dark and I like how the darker side is still being highlighted by soft, warm-pink lighting. I also like that we see the shapes of her nose showing through the mask and the subtle, smooth shine on the black trim is great too 🖤 The rendering of Mileena's skin and anatomy is looking marvellous as well. I really like her raised arm, with soft, warm light on her shoulder and bicep, both being divided by shadows between them. Her thighs are utterly gorgeous with such soft, smooth blending which look especially sensual with Mileena's fingers caressing them (I'll talk more about her body in the 2nd comment 😸). Her hair looks gorgeous too and so intricately detailed. You've rendered out so many strands of hair here and there's a lovely, subtle shine to it all as well. And oh I really love her face! 😻😻😻😻😻 You've given her this gorgeous, painterly rendering with visible brush strokes that just give her skin and features so much texture. I particularly like the areas around her eyes and the nose with these little shine spots too. The plane changes and shadows are so nicely done, with the nose and area behind it having a lot of depth. Her lips look beautiful and luscious too with their shine and I like the contrast in tone between the top and bottom lip. The extra cheek-teeth have a lot of nice detail and texture to them too and I like the occlusion shadows where they overlap and emerge from her cheeks. My favourite part may be her eyes though 💛💛 The yellow irises with those thing black pupils are so striking! And I also like how the yellow irises are orange on the edges, with this lovely smooth blend between the two colours. Beautiful work on this piece, Didi!
