I think a hot spring gym with all staff in traditional style dress and garb would be cool the head would definitely have that like shrine maiden ascetic to go along with it. Maybe even water/fairy type

I've also seen people talking about the hydroelectric power idea, so maybe he could be the head of the research there- kind of like one of the region professors, except focused on phenomenon in the immediate area.
