Hidden Details: You Win Some, You Lose Some

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-forty-seventh episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to part 1

Link to part 2

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There is ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar and ONE crewmate divided over two comics. Bonus panels don't count.

Part 1
1:
Shadow Sephiroth's outfit is half artist, half jester, since he sees his (villainous) pranks as works of art.
2:
Balthazar's head is visible in the third panel, albeit barely. Still, you found him Calvin Barbanell!
3:
Doom Slayer killed Graham! Or knocked him out at least. He's lying on the ground in the fourth panel.
4:
Yeah, the Isabelles on Doom Slayer's back are cackling maniacally in the final panel, Percylegallois. They aren't as cutesy as we think.

Part 2
5:
Who other than Lakitu would be the one keeping track of the battle? He has a good viewpoint and experience as a cameraman as well, Musical Icarus!
6:
Lakitu's cloud is also wearing war paint, as Tejayes mentioned.
7:
Dr. Wily is shot down by Geno in the first panel. Good catch, Generic Hero.
8:
I don't remember Ryu and Little Mac doing this, Zach, but I have always wanted to draw a Cross Counter so I had Terry and M. Bison perform one in the first panel!
9:
Terry's hat says "TV Tropes" instead of Fatal Fury, as mentioned by happy pasta. That's because there are some TV Tropes editors watching the comic and adding tropes to their wiki whenever I use them. Right now I hope they see this hidden message and update the Cross Counter page with this panel.
10:
This week's crewmate is visible on M. Bison's hat in the first panel. Found by Cameron Devera.
11:
A Primid gets launched into the air in the background of the first panel. Glad you recognized it, ThatNerdyGinger!
12:
Duck Hunt Duck is once again using Samus' arm cannon from Metroid Dread, just like he (she?) did in the Metroid comic last year. Good catch, edmg7!
13:
In the second panel, Loss is visible in Mercedes' spell... thing. What would you even call that weird circle, Spirit of Gotham?
14:
And the text around her spell is the Navy Seal copypasta!
15:
Both Audino and Chansey are associated with nursing/health, so I decided to put them both in the second panel, Jake Lyde and Daniel Myhre.
16:
A buddy of mine told me it would be funny to have Donald cast anything BUT a healing spell, because he has a habit to do this in Kingdom Hearts, apparently. So yes, I made him cast thunder in this panel, Edgar Castro!
17:
Sly Cooper runs past in the second panel, giving the healing team a thumbs up.
18:
A burning Bokoblin is running past in the third panel, which is a reference to the fact that you can set Bokoblins on fire in Breath of the Wild.
19:
Mr. X's hat is shot off by someone who shoots arrows. Could be anyone really, Fighting Master.
20:
There's some Inkling ink visible on the battlefield in the third panel. It makes the bloody, gruesome battlefield look more FUN, Zanreo.
21:
A poor zombie gets a spiky ball from Lakitu dropped on his head in the third panel, as mentioned by Deuce Ray.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Hidden Details: You Win Some, You Lose Some

Comments

Joker doing the morty scream dace

Joshua Flores

Lakitu's cloud is wearing war paint. Or simply doesn't know how to blend makeup.

Tejayes

Sephiroth’s mentioning of Cloud and co. being in ‘his domain’ might be a reference to their final clash in FF VII, only taking place in Sephiroth’s heart instead of Cloud’s mind.

Jon Brouse

Lakitu is acting as surveillance to the fight since he’s normally the camera man for events

Musical Icarus

Looks like Geno nailed Wily with his arm cannon. The guy known for using dummies as decoys is being destroyed by a star using a dummy as a body.

Generic Hero

Loss is on the second pic of part two at the magical ring at the top.

lawariano

Audino and Chansey are carrying hat kid on a stretcher, since they're Pokemon Center Assistants

Pokedude14

Terry and M. Bison are punching each other in the same way Ryu and Little Mac did in Bayonetta's Smash 4 poster.

Zach

Unlike all the healers, Donald Duck is casting a lightning spell, perhaps to aid in their personal defense, or as an offensive attack

Sean Chan

Oh, there's an Audino helping out the healing! That's nice. Maybe she's Cynthia's pokemon?

Jake Lyde

Staying on theme, the Meteor summoned by Sephiroth is in the shape of a dickbutt

UnSaxon51

Inkling ink on the ground in third panel of part 2

Zanreo

Lady D is one of Doom Slayer's unfortunate victims.

Jeffrey Solis

No Jojo 'To Be Continued' arrow in either part this week (unless I missed it, but I don't think I did)

Joshua Eddleston

There's a Primid from SSB Brawl getting tossed around in the background of the first panel of the second part

Redmage77

Terry's hat in ot 2 says TV TROPES I can only imagine the list for this series

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

Someone shot mr.x hat off again this time with an arrow he looks sad now

Fighting Master

In the first panel of part 2 Terry’s Hat says “Tv Tropes”!

happy pasta

Isabelles are enjoying violence with Doomslayer, like in the memes

Percylegallois

Lakitu using his signature move on a zombie in part 2, also shows he is on the heroes’ side back in “The Poy who lived”.

Deuce Ray

The Captain's red hat in the first panel of second part looking somewhat sussy

Trigger

Classic KH Donald!

Shelby Kinkead

Is that Xehanort or is it the guy Sephiroth was talking to when he got the calling card?

edmg7

Despite being on the healing team, Donald Duck is casting Thungaga. This is a reference to how that duck refuses to collaborate with healing in every KH game

Cendrail

Instead of casting a healing spell, Donald is using thunder

Edgar Castro

Tifa’s pose in part 2 (and by extent, Lady D’s in part 1) looks like it could reference Ann’s knocked out pose in Persona 5. Not sure how much is intentional since you haven’t played it

Cody Toeung

Balthazar is next to tifa in part 1

Calvin Barbanell

Duck using Samus' arm canon. Callback to reviving the Star Fox characters.

edmg7

You know what I can’t figure out? Why does Master Xehanort have silver eyes instead of his usual golden eyes at his current age? Edit: I’m referring to the final panel of part 1 by the way

Shelby Kinkead

Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4 is among the team of healers.

Karelia Cristina

Mercedes better be careful, that spell she's casting could cause LOSS of life

Spirit of Gotham

In the 2nd part of your comic, there’s a crew mate on M. Bison’s hat in the 1st panel.

Cameron Devera
