Hidden Details: Sweet Home Nohr

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-thirty-ninth episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There is ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar, ONE crewmate and NO JoJo references. Bonus panels don't count.

1: The sky in the first panel is purple, which seems to be a thing in Nohr. Furthermore, I directly color-picked the specific kind of purple from the Fates boxart.
2:
According to the sign on the gate in the first panel, the Nohrians still aren't too keen on Hoshidans. Some things never change, Jon Brouse.
3:
Speaking of that sign... the tears in it form loss, as astutely pointed out by Dave Papworth.
4:
Yeah, Wii Fit Trainer asking Camilla if she isn't cold is partly a reference to her ridiculous design, but also as a bit of a joke about Wii Fit Trainer wearing a tanktop herself, Noah.
5:
Among the banners hanging in the hallway in the third panel is one that depicts Balthazar's face. Not sure if I'm glad about him being a representation for Nohr, Cameron Devera.
6:
Others had already mentioned Balthazar, but you're the only one to mention the Nohrian crest on the banners throughout the comic, Delete This!
7:
In the third panel, Camilla turns around/screams with so much vigor that she blows out a candle. I was wondering whether anyone was going to spot this, but A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends did!
8:
Well, regardless of route, it makes sense for Gunter to be in the Nohrian castle, N-Sight. I mostly put him there because he's the one you have to defeat to get a Bifröst in Fates!
9:
Furthermore, there's only one other Bifröst to be found in Fates, which is why Gunter has two. Canon!
10:
In the fifth panel, we can spot the wall on which the Nohrian children (Xander, Camilla, Leo, Corrin and Elise) kept track of their growth. Good catch, Michael Ederer.
11:
Elise and Benny are actually pairable in Fates. It's weird.
12:
The happy couple apparently celebrated their love by writing E <3 B on the wall behind them, but they put a little S inside the heart, which indeed stands for S-support, Lord Circe.
13:
Camilla mentioning Casual Mode is a reference to a revival method I was considering for ages, Daniel Myhre. In the end I couldn't make it work without it feeling super cheap, but I did want to reference it somewhere.
14:
Felicia and Jacob (a butler and a maid in Fates) have unique weapons: their tray and plate. These weapons/pieces of household equipment are hanging on the wall in the background of panel six and seven.
15:
Good eyes, Zach. Pac-Man's hand is still bandaged from the bonus panel in which Kazuya broke his hand.
16:
This week's obscure game character portrait: Hype from Hype: the Time Quest (a Playmobil game I played all the time as a kid) is hanging on the wall in the background of the final panel!
17:
Correct Generic Hero! When I was making this comic, I decided to check the wiki about the Bifröst staff in case I had forgotten anything. Turns out I had: the Bifröst can only be used by maids or butlers in Fates. So I had a mild panic attack and googled to see if there were any maids or butlers in Smash. Turns out yes, there's an actual maid Mii outfit. So I used Mii Gunner/Sans as a maid to be the Bifröst wielder!
18:
Yes, I did intentionally put Charizard there to celebrate the revival of Corrin, Tejayes. It's indeed because they're both dragons... well, kinda.
19:
In the final panel, Isabelle 2 is carrying some slippers intended for Corrin's bare feet. Maybe she doesn't know he's not supposed to wear shoes since she wasn't a Smash fighter originally, Trigger.
20:
This week's crewmate is found in Captain Falcon's belt buckle in the final panel, as caught by KII!
21:
Okay Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt), I'm actually going to give you a point for that, because I DID consider changing "Wii Fit Trainer" to "What The Fuck" in the seventh panel, but it was too easy to spot. I felt it was a bit too distracting, so I removed it again.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Hidden Details: Sweet Home Nohr

Comments

The sans mii in the maid outfit. Maids in FE Fates are classes capable of using healing staffs. Nice loop hole

MrTerminator3010

Captain Falcon has a sus amougus on the belt in last panel

RedViolet69

There is Balthazar beside the Nohrian crest.

RedViolet69

there is Balthazar on the banner at the third panel

Incalo

Or it could be Gunner or Brawler. I forgot Maid was a costume for all 3.

Generic Hero

Gunter's presence here, along with Benny and Elise being a couple and the sign on the front door, ensures that this is the Conquest Route. I won't go too far down the rabbit hole, but Gunter is only available on certain routes, Azura only sticks around on one(not this one), and tensions between families are dissolved on the only one of the routes that Gunter no longer stays around during the endgame(after getting him back due to the route you take). This might not be a hidden detail, but I wanted to explain which canon route this playthrough took.

N-Sight

So it's the Nohrian Route from Conquest. Gotcha.

N-Sight

Not a hidden fact, but the fact that the Wii Fit Trainer’s shirt doesn’t change to say “WiiTrainerFit” with “WTF” capitalized to sneak in a appropriate reaction to Camilla’s marriage with Corrin is a crime.

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

I mean, they both change into dragon forms, so that counts for something, right?

Generic Hero

Loss is on the "hoshidans begone" note on the first panel

jamil mansaray

Camilla mentions that their universe is on "Casual Mode", which removes permadeath and only makes units retreat.

Pokedude14

Azura sides with whoever Corrin sides with. That said, if this takes place after Fates Conquest, she doesn't stick around after the war.

Generic Hero

I got that one already

Cameron Devera

We can see mark on the wall with Corrin, Leo, Elise, Camillia and Xander Height trough the years

arnaud DUFOUR

On page 3, Camilla yells so hard she blows out a candle

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

Balthazar is on the wall banner in panel 3

Unstuckduc

In the first panel, the tears in the "HOSHIDANS BEGONE!!" sign form loss.

Miracle_AU

There's graffiti in Panel 5 to show Elise and Benny have an S Rank support.

Lord Circe

Azura’s absence implies Corrin has taken the Conquest route, since she sides with Hoshido.

Karelia Cristina

Wii Fit Trainer asking Camilla if she is cold while looking at her endowments. I believe the game Conquests made references to it once in a while. Waifu material.

Noah

Apparently, Nohr still has an issue with the Hoshidans, as evidenced by the sign on the first panel.

Jon Brouse

Who was there to greet the return of our favorite half-dragon anime swordfighter? Why, none other than Charizard, our favorite Dragon-type Pokemon! ...wait a minute...

Tejayes

Crewmate in captain falcons belt in the last panel

TZR_Redstonemaniac

In panel 5, there's a bunch of lines showing character's heights as they got older.

Michael Ederer

Pac-Man's hand is still bandaged from the Heihachi incident in a previous bonus panel.

Zach

In the last panel, Mii Swordfighter is dressed in the maid outfit. That's because Maid is also a class in FE:Fates that can use healing staffs, and would be able to use Bifrost.

Generic Hero

In the last panel it seems that Isabelle thinks we've had enough of Corrin's feet and she's giving him a pair of slippers. However, one of them fell off in the last bonus panel.

Trigger

Balthazar flag on the 3rd panel

Cameron Devera
