Capybara Pokémon + prompts for week 22
Added 2022-05-22 14:01:01 +0000 UTC
Hi everyone, I'm back to showcase this week's Fakemon and collect prompts for future Fakemon! There are no restrictions to the ideas you are allowed to suggest, but I particularly like Fakemon ideas that have something to do with current events or releases!
I designed two capybara Pokémon this week, as suggested by GloveHead:

And yet again, Elias came up with the idea of to use the Japanese onsen capybaras. Love those zen little fuckers. I could imagine these being the Route 1 rodents for another Japan-inspired region!
Leave your own suggestions in the comments and/or choose your favourite idea from the poll below. I'll make the most popular option from the poll for next week, unless there's something relevant happening in pop culture that I want to reference via a Fakemon.
Let me know if you have any questions!
PS: I've sorted the poll by the most popular choices. If I don't put your idea in next week's poll it doesn't mean I don't like it, but that there's a reason why I don't think the idea would work (for example: me not being familiar with the inspiration or the idea not matching the Wooden Plank audience). In that case, I suggest changing the idea and/or trying again in a few weeks.

This isn’t a request, I’m merely noting that I was not aware that there is a species of capybaras present in Japan

2022-05-25 04:51:47 +0000 UTCI think one Kaiju that still doesn’t have a Pokémon inspiration is Angurius. Maybe it could be ground and dragon type https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anguirus

2022-05-22 22:16:53 +0000 UTCThat's not a bad idea, though I was thinking along the lines of something a tad not yet seen in POKéMON. Good suggestion, though! 👍

2022-05-22 20:16:55 +0000 UTCThese are adorable. I imagine them being slow, moderately tanky and able to learn lots of recovery moves. As for the pop-up book being more yo-kai watch, I've never played the games (heard good things though), but I think polteagiest and rotom before it open the doors to more possessed items.
