Sunday piano meditation - Christmas special

Merry Christmas everyone - frohe Weihnachten!

I hope you are having some wonderful relaxed days among your loved ones, families and friends. Enjoy this time of the year as much as possible, cook & eat nice food, go for slow walks with your grandparents and play around with the kids - it's always such a special atmosphere when everyone is coming together to celebrate :)

Every family, every city, every culture is different, brings its own traditions and memories - is there a special one for you? I'd love to know, if you want you can tell me about it in the comments.

In my family it became a tradition within the last years to cook the pasta casserole ("Nudelauflauf") based on my grandmothers recipe every Christmas Eve (love it!) - also the Czech-east-german movie "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" (an adaption of "Cinderella", of course the best one in my opinion) is a necessary part of the Christmas holidays, the title song is one of my absolute favorite soundtracks (if you don't know it, check it out! It's a beautiful piano tune). There are also some nice fun facts about the movie production, especially about the snow in East-Germany - at that time there wasn't enough snow when they shot the movie, so they partly had to use fish flour to cover the streets... What a great solution, haha. However, I have to admit that as a child I was of course desperately in love with the prince, I mean look at him! But I was just as fascinated by the beauty of Libuše Šafránková (actress of "Cinderella")... She's gorgeous. :) 

Today I decided to play a little improvisation around one of the most typical Christmas melodies, I'm sure you know it - in German it's called "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht". What's the name for it in your mother tongue?
