Who's ready for an epic journey across gaming history in order to find revival-items to get the full Smash cast back?!

BEHIND THE SCENES:
I have wanted to do a longer arc for ages now, and I figured the "end" of Smash Ultimate would be the perfect moment to do so (assuming there won't be a Fighter Pass 3). To honor the theme of everyone dying in the reveal trailers, I thought it would be fun to start an arc in which a newcomer would have to revive every fighter after they had all been killed by Sephiroth who, turns out, was just playing the long con. I actually had 90% of this comic finished on Monday, but the last panel remained empty:
Can you imagine how curious I was to learn who my main character was going to be?!
I'll admit, I hoped it would be someone I knew (never played Tekken), but I'll make Kazuya work. He might get a buddy to help him on his quest next week...

2021-06-17 21:03:53 +0000 UTCI just hope that they all get revieved plus Kirby was alive in the smash reveal for kazuya but he’s dead in the bonus panel which leads me to think that if he was alive in the trailer but dead in the bonus panel does that mean that sephiroth aciddently used the wrong poisoning and all of the other characters were alive the whole time and now Kirby has to Destroy septhiroth and find a way to revieve the other characters

I mean, he’s pretty much a member of the ‘Smash Villains Who Are Okay with Murder Alliance,’ joined by Ganondorf, Ridley, Dark Samus, and Sephiroth. Maybe Kazuya also turns out to be evil and the final DLC fighter is the true hero? Who knows? I can’t wait to find out.

It’s probably the former, but the idea of Mario having to help Kazuya while also at the same time being dead is kind of humorous. Also, I thought this was a DanganRonpa themed comic at first thanks to the title.
