Hi everyone! :D
And a welcome to all the new faces who joined this month. Thanks for signing up and enjoying the content! 
This week I'm showing off work done this week on the upcoming Bunny Cop Animation Set.

1: What's New

This week I worked on getting into photoshop and streaming some solid hours  finishing off the shading and detail work I needed to do for the Bunny Cop Animation Set.
How I make these animation sets is that every layer from the toes to the ears are made in Photoshop, then condensed down into an "Export" .psd that has all the layers flattened to such animated part of the character is on its own layer.
From there it can imported cleanly into Unity to hook it up to its 2D animation system.
What I've done to get you all something nice for this week is exported these layers into still images to show you what some of the animation set parts will end up looking like. 
These images can be downloaded from the attachments section of this post.

2: What's Next

Next week is focused on getting these finished art assets into Unity and start animating! We gotta get those toes to wiggle. :D

This build features all the content intended for the release of Ticklish Tessa. It's a version 0.99!

Requirements:

  • Playable on a PC using a Windows OS.
  • The game will first boot up full screen and set to your monitors native resolution.
  • This can be changed back to the classic 1200x900 windowed mode in the options menu located at the top right of the screen.

To Install It:

  1. Download the zip file
  2. You MUST unzip all the contents of the zipfile to any folder. The game cannot run from inside the zipped file.
  3. Windows can unzip it by itself. You don't need to download any third party software like WINRAR.
  4. You can run the demo by entering the unzipped folder and double clicking on the file named: Ticklish Tessa

  • Hitting the "A" key will make Tessa hit full arousal and complete the session.

Weekly Roundup 46 - 15/01/2021 - Ticklish Bunnies and Pearls

Hi everyone! :D
Its been a super productive week here with a big focus on making artwork for two upcoming animation sets.
This week I've zipped up both some work-in-progress stills for the Judy Hopps Set as well as the finished "stills" for the Pearl set. 
I hope you enjoy them! :D

1: What's New

Over 28 hours was spent from Monday to Friday on my Picarto Stream working on art assets for two animation sets.
As an aside I stream a lot of Subscribe Star game dev and art asset focused work! If you ever want to see your contributions in action come follow my Picarto channel and watch along. :)
The first set is Judy and this week work was done to color in the lineart progress made last week. This is a time consuming process as each body part is its own layer and needs to match up nicely with all other layers.
It's shaping up well though! I can't wait to get the art assets completed over the next few weeks so I can get import them into Unity to animate. :)
The second set is one that's come out of the blue and aims to give my supporters here some completed and fun content during January. It's a 6-part Animation Set of Pearl from Steven Universe in the clutches of some devious foot focused "Gem Polishing"
You can download the stills of each of the 6 parts in this post! The animation set will be playable in Unity and even have some written dialogue to go along with the movement.
I've just gotten the art into unity and now need to make the layers into animatable components. 

What's happening with Tessa?

I'm waiting on the final music track to get delivered before I can wrap up development and work to get it released. So work will continue soon but I'm waiting on an external delivery.

2: What's Next?

My priority right now is to deliver the Pearl Animation Set which I hope to release some time during next week! :)
Then it's both some back-end work for Tessa and doing the shading and colored lineart for the Judy Animation Set!

As we close out 2020 I wanted to give you all my thanks for your support throughout the year. 
Also, a big thanks for allowing me to take the past week off to relax and chill.

There's a lot of awesome stuff coming for 2021. From the release of Ticklish Tessa to further development of the 2nd project. To making animation sets! 
I'm excited to make fun things for you all! :D

Weekly Roundup 42 - 18/12/20 - Judy Hopps Sketches + Crystal Gems

Hi everyone!
It's been a good week to have most of it off to chill out with some gaming and draw out some concepts for fun. 
Even so I did get some sketching work done for the Judy Hopps animation set. 
So lets go through them. :D

1: What's New

I sketched out a potential "Narrative Progression" for the Judy Hopps animation set. 
What I've ended up with is "13 Parts" where Judy goes from being in her police uniform to completely encased in bondage and pleasurable tickling.
The set would cover Judy going through different outfits, different methods of tickling and pleasure stimulation and also show off different expressions as well.
In all I think it make for an animation set with a lot of fun things happening. :D
All 13 parts are separate images and can be downloaded in the .ZIP file!

2: Done for the fun of it: Crystal Gemstone Binding

This isn't exclusive to Subscribers, but I did want to show off something I drew up this week.
Like many of the characters I love to draw, I'm usually a pretty casual fan of their respective shows. I love the character designs of Lapis and Peridot: They make a fun duo.
Being holographic in nature though, one has to ask how one would bind them up for ticklish torments if they could simply change the size of their bodies or just recede back into their gem.
So here's my answer to that. Bind the Gemstone which then manifest's binding to the holographic form that they can't escape from. :3
I thought the idea was fun! The pics + Alts are attached in the .zip file.

3: What's Next

Next week is again going to be a short work week due to Christmas. So I'll be posting the weekly roundup on the Thursday the 24th.
My goal for next week is to open up the 2nd project and see if I can deliver on moving the character from dungeon room to another dungeon room.

Weekly Roundup 40 - 4/12/20 - Ticklish Tessa Polish + Animation Set Ideas


Hi everyone!
It's been a week of doing a lot of different pieces of polish! 
I've also been working towards getting a new build out for Ticklish Tessa. I'm hoping I can get that out to you all next Friday providing Male VO is in by then. That's the next bit of content that's worth making a new build for.

1: What's New - Ticklish Tessa Polish


The majority of this week was spent working on polishing up aspects of Ticklish Tessa.

To list off what got done:
  • Reviewed the first audio pass for male VO. It has good potential from what I've listened of it, but the audio mix was too low volume for the game, so the VA is doing a retake.

  • I created both an application icon and a custom cursor for the game. So it looks like you're no longer opening a default unity.exe program.

  • Added the ability to change if Tessa's Shoes are removed at the start of a session. You used to only get one chance in the narrative portion of session 2. Now after that you can change the option any time.

  • Added glasses to Tessa on the Intro Screen. ( I don't know how I missed that the first time.)

  • Fixed a bunch of UI Bugs such as button coloring and UI despawning in a messy way when switching tools. 
The Application Icon. Which reduces down to 32x32 px.

2: Animation Set Ideas


So, I have two candidates for who's going to be the character of focus for the next Animation set: Judy Hopps from Zootopia or Isabelle from Animal Crossing


Either is very focused on letting the character delve deep into their Tickle Masochism. Isabelle being very adorable about it. Judy treating it like a challenge to defeat.

So while consensual scenes they'll get very, very intense.

Which one would you like to see get done? :D

3: What's Next


If the audio for the male VO comes back and it's implementable then I'll be doing that for sure! If that's still held up for more revisions. I'll be noodling away at the 2nd project prototype!

Weekly Roundup 37 - 13/11/20 - 4 Minute Narrated Playthrough + A Doomed Pony Princess


Hi everyone!

I got some real progress to show off this week! For both the RPG project and a new animation set I'm working on!

1: This Weeks Progress


This week I set out to work on "Stitching" together all the prior prototypes I've made for the 2nd Project to show how the gameplay experience flows from the Dungeon view to the Encounters and back again. 

Overall it was quite successful! All the encounters and puzzles work correctly and they transition! 

Putting this all together did also illuminate some design tweaks. The player now has both Stamina and Vitality as resources to use, which I explain in the narrated video.

2: Animation Set in Progress: A Doomed Pony Princess


So at the moment I'm painfully aware that the content value of this SubscribeStar isn't the greatest until I can get a subscriber demo of the 2nd project out. Which is still far away for the time being. I don't want to deliver you all bad experiences.

But! You also should get fun content!

So in the mean time I did want to create something interesting and exclusive to the SubscribeStar which are animation sets. Like the Coco Bandicoot one I did a few months ago.

This one is more complex: They'll be animations of escalating tickle torture for a doomed anthro Pony Princess. <3

My plan will be to post one animation publicly to generate interest. Then the rest will be exclusive to you all. :)

And I've attached a static still-image of the current artwork to this post so you can see the layout.

My HOPE is to get some animations of this setup done by the end of the month and give you all that extra value! :D

3: What's Next?

Much like this week, next week will be a split between working on developing the prototype further as well as working on the animation set!

Weekly Roundup 36 - Prototype Dungeon Tilemaps & More!


Hi everyone!
It's been a hell of a week hasn't it? I'm sure many of us are happy to get a more relaxed and chilled out weekend.
On my end I got a lot of bits and pieces done as well as a productive start on dungeon exploration. Let's get into it!

1: This Weeks Progress

I got three key pieces of work done this week.

A: I updated the Banners and About page to be accurate about Development now focusing on the 2nd project.

This is important because I believe in truth of advertising and I'm glad I got it done first thing this month.

B: Updated the audio in Ticklish Tessa.
The latest build for Ticklish Tessa got a mid week update on Tuesday as the other full arousal clips where delivered by the VA. :)
I'm now actively seeking a male voice actor to provide the equivalent clips for when the player chooses Teesa's male appearance.
Once we have those voice clips in it'll be down to bug fixing and polishing the game. :)

C: I learned about how to use Tilemaps in Unity.
This is a piece of tech I needed to learn if I wanted to make nice looking dungeons in the long term.
This took a few days to get my head around the concepts. Especially automated sprite layering. But this initial learning time will save days of development as I push forward. :)
I also remade the Isometric temporary assets to fit better together using the tilemap system.
As of right now I've constructed a dungeon doom and have the character sprite that can move around in it:

2: Promo Art in Progress!

I've hired the skilled artist ALTart / Nooami to create a big mood piece that'll be used as a dev-in-progress title screen, SubscribeStar Banner, and used in advertising:
This is just the sketch. But it's coming up spectacular and really helps sell the mood of the game. :D

3: What's Next?

Now that I understand the concept of Tilemaps and how to use them. I'll be focusing next week on trying to "Stitch" the encounter scenes to the dungeon scene. Getting us closer to a more realized gameplay loop!

So a bit of work all over the place this week. Next week will be much more focused on delivering some gameplay goods!

This new build features the addition of voice over effects and sounds as well as additional work on the SFX audio.
I must stress though, Ticklish Tessa does not have word by word reading of voice over lines. It instead has voice emotes such as laughter and moans that compliments the actions shown on screen. :)

Weekly Roundup 32 - 09/10/20 - First Steps into Project 2 Dev Work


Hi everyone!
This week's roundup focuses on this weeks efforts to get started on the second project. :)

1: This Weeks Progress


This week was focused on two main points:

  • Getting the Unity Project set up and connected to version control. This got done!
  • Produce temporary art assets that can be made quick and get into the game to act as placeholders for each scene.

I quite like how the cultist concept came out. :D

Why make all this temp art?


The reason why you should make temp art that gets replaced later from a development perspective is to give you enough to work with visually to get the logic in prove the gameplay flow and loops.

It can also help identity missing elements in UI or usability before you start making time intensive art assets.

It's a balancing act:
If you make every asset just squares then the abstractness of the visuals can really screw the experience. But if you make high-end assets before prototyping, you'll doom yourself to lots of expensive revisions.


2: What's Next


Next week is going to be much of the same then this week. A focus on blocking out more of these in-game scenes and encounters by making temp art and arranging them in the project scenes.

Once all the scenes have the temp art they need. Then it's a case of blocking out the gameplay logic and scene to scene flow to prove the gameplay loop is engaging. 

So, much how like Tessa started out. things will look rough for a while, but it's in the interest of good gameplay.
