Next Video Announcement

Hey Dad,

Thanks for coming to the Patreon! I'll try to post text updates every week or so and keep you in the loop on where my next video is at. First and foremost, I'd like to announce exactly what my next video will be on.

When choosing a series to cover, I like to pick something that hasn't been entirely mined for content. I want to be able to choose a series where I actually have something to say as well. Also, making retrospectives, I can't reasonably choose something that already has an 8 hour video on youtube that's covered all the bases. Resident Evil and Silent Hill are two examples of series that I'd like to cover, but already have 5+ hours videos, analyzing each and every aspect of the series. There are a lot of series like this, and I hope to cover them in the future when people are interested in seeing "my" take on these games.

One series I did want to talk about, that's chock full of lore, interesting gameplay, and ups and downs over it's years of prevalence in the industry, is Devil May Cry.

Devil May Cry fits the bill for just about all of my list of requirements. It has interesting characters, development, lore, gameplay, and it just so happens that there aren't a ton of super long prevalent videos covering the entire series....yet.

I've already begun work on the project and in the gaming/writing phase. Over the next couple weeks I'll be playing every game in the series, reading all of the canon light novels, comics, and watching the anime. I'll also be writing the hopefully 50-100 page script in between. With that, I have to get back slaying demons.
