Wooden Update: change to payments
Added 2019-01-11 13:19:52 +0000 UTCHi all, quick update of the financial category. If you're a Patron, before today, your credit card/PayPal would be charged for the previous month. From today on, you'll be charged for the upcoming month. We're changing it because we want to keep giveaways fair: in theory, people can pledge, participate in a giveaway, and delete their pledge before ever being charged. Payment up front ensures we at least get one payment from them if anyone decides to play us like that. This way, we'll be able to make giveaways a lot quicker and more streamlined.
For existing Patrons, nothing really changes. You'll pay for the upcoming month now instead of paying for the month that just passed. BUT: if you plan on increasing your pledge, you'll be charged both your old pledge and your new pledge this month, so you might wanna wait until February 1st if you're planning on upping your pledge.
