Shocktober 2024 - Mancow with Felix Biederman

WE ARE BACK! This week on the first episode of the season we had Felix on to talk about the man, MANCOW. We listened to some older stuff and then started in on the new drunk era. That's right, he has gotten even weirder

Not my best description because it is 7:51 AM and I am bad at them at the best of times

Tbh I would be excited to meet Mike Lindell. There's something about that cracked out Midwest energy that reminds me of my uncles. But he's friends with a president?

Grease Witherspoon

Felix’s Mancow impression still cracks me up every time

Justin S

gotta do walton and johnson at some point

Reverend Carter

If anyone cares, Decompoze is a producer from Michigan, most prominently featured on the Binary Star album “Masters of the Universe”, which I know because I’m a hip hop nerd from the Midwest that turned 16 in 2000. Definitely not whoever Mancow made up. That album slaps though worth checking out.

Will

“He’s Mancoward.” Robin Quivers.

Michael

Kinda bummed they're not doing the "smoke on the water" intro this year.

Adam

Hurricane Milton hitting Tampa. Prayers up for Bubba.

This guy over here

Came back here to comment after going to watch the Mancow Gorka "interview", and holy shit the guys were not kidding about how jaw droppingly bad it went for Mancow

Ian H. B.

I don't think Mancow even has a father. I think he was born of a coagulating ether

Grease Witherspoon

Did not expect Mancow to add two more victims to his body count this year, but here he is, claiming to be the Angel of Death for Yul Brynner and Miss Elizabeth. He doesn’t disappoint.

Gregory Schneider

Mancow Big Lurch interview when

cosmomo

On the verge of wearing a This is Pharmacist shirt to the Vancouver show

Grease Witherspoon

I did find a "Decompoze" who was active around 2000, just because I really don't think Mancow has the capacity to make up a horrorcore rapper.

Eroq

I think felix should be able to vape into the mic

Betsy

I do respect and appreciate Gris's dedication to quality.

Jared Walker

new nudi kickstarter just dropped https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ralphnudi/nudi-on-the-beach

loopy

Now that I know it was Queeber that was DJing Bryan’s sisters wedding I do think she should have known better

JoeDotBiz

Bryan, I promise you that bright green auroras with your own eyes are real. We spent a week in central Alaska in 2018 where we saw the aurora every night. The first few nights we were in Denali National park and they were right overhead, bright green, and even noisy. Then we were a few hours south in Talkeetna and they looked exactly as you described. After that we went south of Anchorage for a few nights, and they were very subtle. You’ve got to be right in the center of the predicted path and far away from any lights for them to be bright green.

Gabriel Griesbach

This is the first Shocktober I've ever listened to. So good! I am going to go back through the old ones starting with Gorka lmao

Andrew

His thing back then was being the Christian Dennis Leary, is he still doing coffee flavored coffee stuff for the Lord?

LOAF

One of the all timers. “Ya know, I love talkin to ya.”

Aidan Dean-Jones

Queeber and The Gris drop was s-tier elite stuff. Well done boys lmao

Aidan Dean-Jones

Shocktober: 🤩 Felix: 🤤 💦 I laughed for a good minute at Queeber and the Gris. Excellent as usual, guys.

FlubHo

Bloody masterclass on the queeber intro

Thomas

Perhaps I’m giving Mancow too much benefit of the doubt, but I’ve always interpreted his “because I was too BLACK” line to be a mimicry of the shorthand radio suits used to describe him following his early career run on KDON, which has a “rhythmic contemporary” format.

kermitthefreund

Whoever built the Queeber and the Gris intro is a true hero.

Jacob (In Dripping Letters)

Dec 1 of last year. Check the Shocktober ‘collection.’

kermitthefreund

Which episode of Guys has Mancow talking to Gorka

Authorized Pod

I am so grateful for HuckWatch bringing Brad Stine into my life

Domye

This is pharmacist

Matty El

Mancow: I don’t wanna be around anymore

Papa John Misty

I love felix's felix impression

nick f

and as a wrestler he must be fairly accustomed to people saying outlandish things

Robert Aitken

Felix finally getting comfortable doing plugs maybe more shocking than anything Mancow said

Robert Aitken

It’d be so cool if one day we find out that Mancow was telling the truth about everything.

LAKE R▲DIO

Rip Anthony

Instantdumbass

When I was a kid my uncle took me and my cousin to Promise Keepers which a conference for Christian guys who don't want to cheat on their wives. Brad Stine was one of the speakers and the joke that he told that got the biggest pop was about hitting your dick and balls when you fall off your bike.

LOAF

All prayers answered were so back

Internet jones

The Miss Elizabeth revelation is jaw dropping

Mickey Flykick

“Have you ever had Pappy?” “Yes.” What a fucking beautiful interaction

Mickey Flykick

Are we sure he wasn't talking about when Savage and Elizabeth got divorced as "end it"

FZA

Mancow shocktober is what I live for, and this did not disappoint.

Megan

If Queeber & The Gris were on a classic rock station there would absolutely be a “Benny & The Jets” song parody.

Joshua J Austin

And their sister is Tracy Nelson, who was on a bunch of 80s TV shows (Square Pegs, Father Dowling Mysteries).

Joshua J Austin

chris fuck toy felix vaping is the peak of the medium of podcasting

Kamran Husain

I looked up Nelson and holy shit, they are the grandsons of 1950s TV stars Ozzie & Harriet Nelson. Their TV show was the longest running scripted show ever for a very long time

Victor

And love the Queebs

David Brown

Will is 41 and Matt is 45. They were all in their 30s when doing the podcast lol

Drill Bill

Yeah I think the fact that he put his leftover cake in the oven is one of the weirdest parts of the ep.

Andrew

I was under the impression he was in his early mid 30’s. Are all the chapos in their 40’s?

ckoehler31

WHO TF WARMS UP CAKE

Zack

welcome, Michael.

Not Even a Show

Michael Hood

I welcome the Emperium of Producer Gris. Jk. Love you. Love Felix. Love the show

David Brown

Chris infringed Felix’s speech when he told him not to vape

NotRodDrehersBurner

it's easy enough to cut out when I have time but we recorded this last night and it had to be out early in the morning so I just didn't want to have to do the work in the middle of the night hahah

Not Even a Show

Producer Gris laying down the vaping law

David Brown

Actually goes kinda hard

Corndog Millionaire

I for one enjoy hearing Felix vape from time to time, it’s comforting to me

Jared Walker

The only thing that would’ve been funnier was if DDP, one of the nicest images for these dudes to have, would have been like “yeah go for it”

Matty C

Hahaha. Goddamn that rules. I bet he didn't freak out but I'd like to imagine him trying to pull out the local-celebrity card at a suburban bar. "Do you know who I am? I'm the Nastyman! I own this town!"

Andrew E Houston

We’re all lovin Nudie The Riffin’ Realtor. He’s on fire

Miles

Dare is still kicking on 98.9 I believe, haven't heard of the other guy but like I said I'm not too familiar with the scene. I bring up Nastyman specifically because my dad would listen to 101.1 the rock and I fucking hated the guy. During that time he was definitely more DJ than shock jock but he would still do some interviews. And I fucking hated him, he was so annoying and had the worst fucking soundboard ever where he would play the same 5 sounds multiple times per break. Don't know if he still does but he used to frequent this bar in Mission that was cash only but had an ATM. My dad said he saw him there one time drunk as shit and one of the bartenders was trying to help him get money out of the ATM. She told Nasty "you have one seventy three in here" and he said "so what's the problem, why can't I take more out" and she clarified "no, not $173, 1 dollar and 73 cents"

FA

One of his funniest lines of all time and I recommend finding the video and looking at ddp’s face

Bryan Quinby

Haha. I forgot about Chuck Nasty, but I don't think they ever overlapped during the late 90s feuds Mancow had with other Kansas City radio personalities. The ones I know about were Johnny Dare from 98.9 The Rock and a guy named Randy Miller who was a on a country station that I don't think exists anymore...can't recall the name of the station though. Johnny Dare is (I think) still doing a show, but I have no idea where Randy Miller is anymore.

Andrew E Houston

Every kid at my school listened to them. Dave and Chuck the Freak would believe the stupidest stories and urban legends on the internet and talk about them as if they were news. Like bank robbers accidentally breaking into a sperm bank instead of a normal bank, and drinking all of the cum thinking it was vanilla pudding.

Tommy

Everything online says Felix is 43

Drill Bill

Holy shit I had no idea he was a KC native. Radio was on the way out when I was young so I'm not super familiar with the landscape but was Mancow ever feuding with Chuck Nasty??

FA

Babies love the Tuna Fish song

Tommy

Whenever Chapo releases an episode late, it's because of all of the vape hits that needed to be removed

Tommy

I don't know if this has ever been brought up about Mancow on these shows, but he grew up in the Kansas City area and had active feuds going on in the 90s with at least two Shockjocks from Kansas City (one from a butt rock station and another from a country station). Mancow claimed they would steal his material and call the Kansas City radio stations when he was on air to complain to the receptionist of the radionstations. He would say shit like, "Hey, we shaved Turd's ass the other day and now I hear that Johnny Dare is shaving T**d's ass today. Please tell Johnny to stop stealing my material." And the receptionist would be like, "I will be sure to pass that on to Mr. Dare." The late 90s were so goddamn weird.

Andrew E Houston

That was a joke. Felix is younger. Like 33 or something.

Tommy

Dave and Chuck the Freak have been around since at least the early 2000s. I know this because I grew up in SE Michigan and my Mom wouldn't let me listen to them when we were driving to middle school. Also look up their insane billboards from a few years ago.

Joshua Foster

Holy shit this was so funny. My favorite series you guys do

LANCE UPPERCUT

When that’s happens it’s not Felix, it’s the Midnight Rider

SlowTrickle

Mancow mentioned Ron onesti, he owns the arcada theater and is a true "classic rock guy"

Edward

Queeber really playing with fire by saying “yoga” in multiple sentences in a row

Nick Perry

i can't even escape opie during the mancow episode

Ethan Gray

I lost it at "I'm okay with not being alive"

Jackie

Phoenix Biederman back from the dead.

aw

I wish we called the John Hancock center “The Cock” like mancow thinks we do

Terrence Hector

Ok. Faith in humanity has been restored. I’m also 39. Twinsies

Drill Bill

I was trying to figure out where I heard Colin Kane at originally and it was on the Jason Ellis show lol. We need him added to shocktober. I have all the archives and even ran a shitty fan podcast back in the day for it. https://noyouare.lixlink.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Colin-Kane-06082011.mp3

Drill Bill

I thought he was younger actually. I’m 39.

Not Even a Show

Wait Felix is 43. If that’s young, how old is Gris? I thought Qweeber was around 45

Drill Bill

SHOCKTOBER'S BACK BABYYYYYYYY

Brandon Esteves

The before-and-after Ron the Liar reveal to Felix lmao

Shortshine

QUEEBER!

Ethan Gray

“hey felix could you mute when you hit your vape” “yeah of course” *hits vape on mic 5 minutes later* that’s my king right there

Jake Lewis

Alex Fred

I used to pray for times like this

Matty El

Putting the headphones on your belly so your baby can listen to Greaseman, like they do with Mozart

Domye

No bullshit, I fell out of my chair laughing when that dropped

SlowTrickle

Queeber and the Gris with today’s guest Felix “Mark Farner” Biederman

pk-sebben

Good call they understand the Greaseman better than anyone

Jake Chinatown

I’m pregnant and been having to wear headphones so my baby doesn’t hear the Greaseman.

Patchuey

My first child is due right in the middle of Shocktober this year so he better be pretty fucking cute if he wants my attention

Jake Chinatown

Best month of the year

Pags
