Release date for Version 0.96 / January Dev log

With the Endings update finished, I'm working on some updates I've been waiting to add for a long time.

Let's set the release date for Version 0.96 on 31 January for now. It will be accessed by Guild Member tiers by then.

Please note that this update doesn't include Girlfriend Battle or Dungeon Helpers. Those are both worked on after this update and have so many scenes, and I want to take some time to write good scenes.

Main features of the build include:

Endings / Room of Dreams

The main update for players to work on. A new NPC will be added to the plaza that teleports the player to the Room of Dreams. She will also be the one who gives you the Scene Guide item.

As of finishing the update, there are 790 CG and 60k+ words for all the endings.

Once players have reached conditions for the endings, you can view them in the Room of Dreams. Once you've viewed them once, they will be unlocked to be viewed at any time during the playthrough.

Scene Guide / Progress tracker

With the large amount of scenes created, some players might have a hard time knowing how to trigger some specific scenes, or didn't know the Rival route exists.

The scene guide will be available for players at the start of the game after you chat with the Dream Room girl in the plaza.

1080p upscale

I spent the better part of the month rendering most of the CG and videos to 1080p. The most concerning part is the file size after all the videos are rendered. At first it totaled to a scary 15GB, which I don't want it to be as it would prove to be difficult to down for some fans.

I'm working on techniques to compress these images and videos without losing quality. Hopefully, I can get it down to under 8 or 9 GB

Extended first scenes & MC Confession scenes

A few short scenes to add to the mix. Now you're able to make the relationship official with the fifth scene of each heroine.

For now, there's no real change to game mechanics after scene 5, except for the ability to lock the heroine out of Chad during the inn phrase. If you still want Chad to progress with your girlfriend you can choose to turn it off and let him do his thing.

These confession scenes are mainly used for the upcoming Girlfriend Battle, to mark your heroines as ready to bet against Chad's.

Bad gifts

Different from the regular gifts, bad gifts can also be found in the dungeon and serve to only decrease the heroine's affection towards MC and increase for Chad's.
