Kalevala comic colored

I shared this colored comic page few weeks ago on Twitter, but I would like to explain about this a bit. This page is from my Kalevala comic, something I made before anything webcomic-related, so this predates Nerd and Jock and other comics I've been working on over the years online.

It's a humorous version of Finnish National epic Kalevala, if you don't know what it is, google gives a good summary. If you know mythological tales like Norwegian folk tales, it's kinda like that but for Finnish people. It has all kinds of weird stories and the main character is Väinämöinen, wise and old runesinger. In this comic page, Young runesinger Joukahainen hears about mighty Väinämöinen and wants to challenge him in a duel of singing. When story continues from here, ultimately Väinämöinen sings Joukahainen in to the swamp.

Back in 2012-2014 I made this Kalevala comic, it was a moderate success in Finland. I made it in black and white, and few months ago I started working on colored version of it, and here's an example of it. It has around 200 strips (those 3 panel slides if you know what I mean) and I've done about 55 out of those 200. So this coloring project is coming slowly, but I'm working on it when I'm bored. I haven't translated these much in English yet, but it has been on my mind. Language I used on this is quite difficult to translate, but when I'm done with coloring, I might make a rough translate or find someone to make a proper one.
