Added 2025-02-16 13:20:00 +0000 UTCHey everyone! This is Refreshed Main Menu: Dynamic Edition (Standalone), dynamically changing based on real-life time.
If you play in the early morning, you'll be greeted by a rising sun; but if you play in the evening, you'll get deep purple shades of the coming night; and if you play at night, the whole sky will be covered with stars, and you'll get the warm light of a nearby campfire.
All in all, there are 5 different states based on the real time of day you're playing :)
• 4:00 - 5:59: Dawn
• 6:00 - 9:59: Morning
• 10:00 - 17:59: Day
• 18:00 - 20:59: Evening
• 21:00 - 3:59: Night

The Standalone Refreshed Main Menu means this mod operates independently and is not intended to be installed or used alongside the main edition of the Refreshed Main Menu.
There are optional files inside the OPTIONAL folder. Please read more below to learn how they work.

FEATURES:
Background changes based on the time of day.
Press the "S" key to show or hide news.
Press the "F" key to show or hide family portrait.
OPTIONAL: An alternative The Sims 4 logo with the 3D plumbob.
OPTIONAL: Family Portrait Initially Visible – this file will make the family portrait display by default.
OPTIONAL: Smaller Family Portrait – this file ensures your family always fits the frame, though they may appear small depending on the number of Sims. Best for families with 1 or 4 Sims. Refresh by deleting the thumbnail cache file or making changes to the family.

Only problem being that with these ones that use the control panel in the center, pressing home or store overwrites the entire screen space with the EA home/store ui and softlocks you from entering the game in that session. Only tried with this particular menu but it should be the same with all of them. Side panels work fine (like in vanilla) but these don't. Not that anyone wants to enter the EA menus (they're ugly and advertising) but still

2024-11-06 03:30:54 +0000 UTCheyy not sure what the issue is, but for some reason twisted mexi's better exceptions is flagging both this and the loading screen mod as exceptions. the mods work fine in game, but when i click on my save file to start playing, its stuck infinitely loading. i had to remove both mods to be able to play.

2024-11-05 15:48:43 +0000 UTCRealized I need to clarify this better - sorry for any confusion! You need the “Standalone Dynamic” file for the mod to work. The “Animated Logo” is an optional add-on. You can install it if you’d like the logo to feature a spinning plumbob. :)

Maybe its the new update but ive removed all my ui mods from the mods folder including this one but whenever i start it up it is still showing the broken ui plus the menu still in the middle, please help

I had to exit the game through the task manager. I decided to remove this mod, and I have the old boring menu again. What's my problem? How to install this mod correctly? Maybe it's because I have an unofficial version of the game?
