Got any questions for the 'boys? Questions for Emma & Yusong? Hit us up... we may answer on an upcoming Double!

What's the best delivery food when it arrives cold? I got some 'totchos' (tater tot nachos) and the congealed cheese really worked for me.

Eli Jacobowitz

In the song Sanctified by Rick Ross featuring Kanye West, Rick Ross raps, "felatio's amazing, make grilled cheese for you, the best..." Implying that Rick Ross rewards people who blow him with grilled cheeses. What would you make for an SO as a food reward?

Luke Beck

What do you think are the most distinguishing "food characteristics" of each generation? For instance, I would say (in general) Baby Boomers think brussel sprouts are gross. Or, one might say that Millennials just can't get enough ass munching. What do you think? Generation Z? Baby Boomers? Gen Xers? Zoomers? Millennials? Wiger, you might be able to speak on the food preferences of The Silent Generation, yes?

Anna Rienstra

We have a local Cajun restaurant here in Detroit (Howe's Bayou) that serves up a hot green salad, and it's actually pretty tasty! I'm with Wiger on this one: hot salad is good! PS: Sorry for the drunk guy trying to get on stage at your last Detroit show, that was nuts.

Austin Harper

We don’t have enough holidays between the months of March and August. If you could create a new holiday, what would it be and what foods would we all traditionally eat on that day? -Kevin in Los Angeles

Kevin

If you could only eat plants domesticated in either the Old or New World, which would you pick? For reference: OW gets Wheat, Rice, Onion, Garlic, Olives, Banana, Apple, Grape, Citrus, Mango, Cinnamon, Ginger NW gets Corn, Potato, Tomato, Beans, Peppers, Strawberry, Blueberry, Avocado, Cocoa, Vanilla (See the doughboyspod email for a Wiger-length version of this question.) Love you all, David from AZ

David L

Mitch, Nick, Emma and Yusong! Have you ever had an amazing meal but never hit the same way since? I always think of this sandwich I had in Philly from a stand in Reading Terminal Market. It was sliced roasted pork, broccoli rabe, and fresh provolone - delish! I went back a few years later and it was good but not as good as the first time. Hope you guys can come back to DC soon! We're good for more than just insurrections.

Michael Kline

I always find that appetizers like hummus and spinach/artichoke dip never come with enough things to dip (pita, bread, etc.). Is this just me? What other food ratios do you think need to be fixed? Also, my friends and I (all sleep experts) have been wondering - who is Wiger's sleep doctor? Shout out to the sleep cabal. #spoonnation

Spencer D

If Mitch had to give each of the doughboys team (Wiger, Emma, Yusong, etc.) a Quincy style nickname what would they be?

Shantanu

Not so much a question, but a request to all Washington DC Doughboys fans: Whichever one of you stole the Wendy's logo magnet off of my car, return it and you will not face my wrath. (I thought we were all cool here, why would you steal my Doughboys merch?!)

Jared

oh, that's a double.

Austin Shippy

Hi 'boys! With covid raging right now, one of my biggest fears is developing permanent anosmia or ageusia, which is a loss of sense of smell and taste respectively. My question is, if you had selective ageusia for the rest of your life, which type of flavor would you be most and least sad to lose: sweet, salty, sour, bitter or umami? -Ed from Indiana

Eddie Sherman

Hey Nick, Mitch, Emma, and Yusong! I'm a pathology resident, and one area of pathology that's possible as a career is autopsy/forensic pathology, so we get pretty extensive training in those areas. Part of performing an autopsy is examining the stomach contents and structure for anything unusual. I have been fortunate in my time to not come across anything super gross in the stomach, but one of the pathologist assistants at my program (shoutout to Rachel!) has shared how she came across lo mein in a decedent's stomach and now she can't eat lo mein. So my question is: what is a food that you can no longer enjoy due to something you've experienced? Love the show! Thanks for getting me through some long days at the hospital. All the best, Michael

Michael M.

Do you have any food stories from when you were starting to date someone new?

superAeneas

Fed up with Frosties? Bored by Big Mac? - What’s a great chain menu item that you have grown tired of? Eric from New Jersey Ps what are your guys’ thoughts on savory shakes?

Eric

Many chain restaurants have regional items or tendencies that only exist there. For example, in Singapore McDonalds has pandan McFlurry, Subway has a bulgogi sub, and Starbucks has a poached pear pure matcha latte. If you could import a regional flair to a chain, which chain and what region?

Glau

I’m moving today. With Mitch and Yusong doing the same, what’s a good first meal at a new place to make you feel at home?

Spencer Webb

Mitch and Nick, how much would you have to be paid to eat chain food off your cohost (body sushi style) and what food would you pick?

Gordon Sheldon

If you were stuck in a Groundhog Day situation which day in your life would you want to live over and over again?

Alex Yontz

Nick and Mitch go on Chapo

Johnny

I'm not sure if here or the Doughscord (or email) is the best place to post our feedbag questions for the upcoming double... But... Here it is: What do you guys think is the ideal amount of time to eat a meal in? I'm sure it depends on the particular meal and the situation - so when do you like a nice long meal? And when do you like to keep it short? Are you slow eaters or quicker than most? Thanks! Anna (Bozeman, MT)

Anna Rienstra

Would you do an episode about newman's own, with griffin newman

Quinn

I have a friend who adopted a dog recently, and revealed to me that he tastes all of the food and treats he feeds his dog. He says that it's generally awful and tastes nowhere near as good as it sometimes smells. So, my question is, have you ever tried pet food or treats and have you ever come across one that was actually good enough to be part of your regular snack rotation? I planned to asked this question at the New York show because it's dog related but when you opened the floor for questions I got scared and my girlfriend wasn't willing to go up and ask for me.

Stephen Prevost

Sirs! I settled for BWW for Wildcard Sunday(1/16) and discovered their Fried Pickle Chip's recipe had changed for the worse! What's your worst recipe turnover experience?

Austin Shippy

Hey Doughboys. What’s your favorite type of gummy candy? I’m partial to the gummy frogs and sharks for that tender, white underbelly. P.S. I met Mitch outside the New York show in October. We took a photo with the whippit container and I drank some of his tequila. You guys are the best!

Zac

Have any of you ever choked on food or seen someone choking?

Andy P

Hi Doughboys! Daniel from New York here. A few years ago my friend John and I saw Doughboys live at Gramercy Theater on 9/6/2019. John and I had quite a few drinks before the show, celebrating our first hangout post the birth of his first child. As we approached the theater, a guy was trying to sell his backstage VIP tickets but was having no luck. I guess he could tell we were excited to get in and asked if we wanted his upgraded tickets for free...we of course said yes. After the show, we got to meet you backstage and, in my drunken excitement, I offered Mitch an idea: A doughboys spinoff called "SNOWBOYS" where the boys review cocaine...then I asked him if he wanted to party after the show. Mitch declined, and later Nick referred to me as a "Tour Psycho" on a double. Fast forward two and half a years...you can imagine the SHOCK and ANGER I felt when I saw the upcoming episode of the Doughboys double would be titled "SNOWBOYS"!!! My question is: Can I be compensated for this egregious lifting of my idea (I will accept merchandise). Thank you for many, many, many years of laughs. Listening to new and old episodes of the show during the pandemic made some of the darkest days not so bad. Best, D

Daniel Zender

I loved the McDonald's Arch Deluxe that was on the menu for a brief time in the 1990's. Unfortunately, it was a flop and didn't stick around long. Do any of you have any memory of that tasty, tasty burger? Are there other items that were considered duds on fast food menus that you have an affinity for despite its reputation?

Erik Urdahl

I recently had a baby and am debating what the first fast food treat should be when he is able to eat solid foods! I live on the east coast and have fond memories of McDonald’s happy meals. My husband is definitely an advocate for pizza. Thanks Kelly from Charlottesville

Kelly Kurtz

Have you ever taken someone to a chain where they COMPLETELY did not get it? I went to college in Ithaca (Mitch, Yusong, hope you recognize the following landmark) and on route 13 there was a McDonald's that as of the mid 2010s was still 'rocking' the guitars and jukebox theming. One time in college I went with a group of friends. We were in line to order behind what seemed to be a student, their mother, and their grandmother. As they stepped up to order the Grandmotherly woman stage-whispered to the others "I don't like ANY of this shit." The other two placed their order, and then their elderly companion asked the cashier for "A toasted bun with margarine." He explained to her that he would have to charge for a full burger adding as an afterthought, "... we don't have margarine." I do not remember the resolution to this story, but the surreal exchange haunts me to this day. I desperately need answers, but I will settle for your thoughts and answers to my question: Have you or an acquaintance ever grossly misunderstood the concept of a chain restaurant? Ian from Philly

Ian Kreher

When you eat McDonald’s alone in your car, do you open the windows? I don’t like to let the stank out.

Adam Lee

Hey Everyone! First time, long time. Lately I’ve noticed that my burger preference will be based on the sauces I’m craving. If I’m feeling ketchup and mustard I’ll get a quarter pounder from McDonald’s, if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll go for the ketchup-mayo fancy sauce you get at Wendy’s. When I’m making a burger at home, it’s always where I start. Do I want one or the other or even all three which can be a bit messy. Do you guys have a sauce preference when it comes to topping your own burger? Thanks and plleeeaase come to Toronto some time for a live show! Mike

Michael Bernas

what the ...!? (jigglypuff)

Yusong Liu

Hi everyone, this question is for everyone but I’m gonna aim it directly at Mr Slice since he’s been cooking up a storm recently. What’s one food/meal you’ve always wanted to make yourself but have never tried for whatever reason? For me it’s a homemade Montreal Smoked meat. If you’re ever in Montreal, please go to Snowden deli and not Schwartz’s. Schwartz’s is dry and for tourists. Also I think the Knife hasn’t lived in Canada for too long because Harvey’s sucks and has for years. Thanks folks!

Joe C.H. Shapiro

Greetings, D'boys! During 2021, I did several cycles of Whole30 and one of the meals that became a go-to was doing a fried riced cauliflower and serving it over a bed of chilled leaf spinach. So, a sincere question to a Doughboys runner: when does a salad become a "hot salad?" Does one hot ingredient make it "hot" (e.g. grilled chicken), do the greens have to be warm or is it somewhere in between? Your answer won't change my eating habits with my meal but I was just curious if it would qualify as "hot salad" territory. Thanks for the hours of laughs while I try to keep from falling off of the treadmill! -Jonathan

I went to LA for a vacation a few years ago. We only had time for one dinner there and we didnt know where to go. We just picked a random spot and it turned out to be terrible. The waitress was talking shit about us 10 feet away to the bartender. We had one person order an steak sandwhich from the menu and they came out with a steak salad that was not on the menu. The only bright spot was the food runner who was great and attentive. We made sure he got a great tip. My question is have you ever gone on a trip and been super excited for a meal only to be so horribly let down? I didnt want to name the place originaly but then i heard about the stories there. It was the pig and whistle.

Alex Villarreal

Which character from Ghostbusters would you rather be for a day? Slimer, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man or Walter Peck? And i guess Marry Fuck Kill as well.

Kevin Gootee

Hi Doughboys! I get really annoyed with flavor descriptions that aren't really flavors. Gatorade is the biggest offender, with flavors like glacier freeze, artic frost, etc. What are your food based pet peeves?

Nick Wood

what was your favorite film of 2021?

etc etc

My wife and I have a baby that we'll be introducing to solid foods soon. It's our first kid and as we've been reading in preparation for the transition we realized that we knew almost nothing about what solid foods babies can eat. I figure the Doughboys are equally clueless about babies, so I'd love to hear them speculate about how to start babies on solids: what foods are appropriate, how to prepare the food, what ages to start, etc.

Joshua Tom

You have to eat at one chain, for every meal, for the rest of your life. Where are you going? Note: Since you’ll be eating year-round, seasonal items are available, so if you can’t live without shamrock shakes or pumpkin spice lattes, they will be available at their usual time

In my current home of Fort Collins, CO, one of our claims to fame is a Taco Bell housed in an old Spanish colonial home. You can see a picture and the story behind it here: https://www.coloradoan.com/story/news/2016/04/06/fort-collins-taco-bell-house/82487174/ My question is, what's the strangest or most unusual building you've seen used for a chain restaurant?

Evan

Hello! Whether it be the same item every time or you just know the menu front to back, are there any restaurants you go to where you don’t need to see a menu anymore before you make your order? Thanks guys!

Tom

Hey Doughboys, Trump infamously served a combination of Mickey D’s, Wendy’s, BK, and Dominos at a White House reception for the Clemson football team celebrating their national championship. If the Doughboys were President and Vice President (god help us) what combination of chains would you serve to those being honored at the White House? - Jim B

James Behot

Hey Doughboys!! My girlfriend and I have fallen into a (maybe weird) habit of watching cooking shows/food videos as we eat lunch/dinner. I feel like Caligula combining multiple senses into some weird food orgy. Do you ever enhance a boring dinner by watching an HD Michelin masterpiece?

jordan bondurant

We’ve seen a lot of sweets like Oreos, Reese’s and Hershey’s make their way into the cereal game. What sweet treats do you think would translate well into a cereal? Thanks everyone!

Blayz

Can't help but notice on an ESPN podcast that I listen to that they shout out an Emma Erdbrink for production support. Emma- How long until you ditch this going nowhere chain restaurant podcast for the slowly dying monolith that is ESPN? Quite the Sophie's choice.

Jason Platt

If the podcasting industry were to go belly up and the only work you're now qualified for is at a fast food restaurant (an underappreciated and challenging job), which one would you most like to work for??

Colin Sneed

Mitch’s favorite moment from the Pats game?

Will Hulst

Most surprising thing you have learned doing the podcast. You all are awesome!

Alex Yontz

Hello, Dough bros. First time, long time. If you had to go back in time and choose a food region to grow up in that isn't LA or Boston, what region would you choose? I would've loved growing up around NY/east coast pizza scene. Would you like a Tex-Mex food scene? Deep south? Miami? Chicago? Send all my love to Emma, Yusong, and DeeKee. Thanks!

Andres Pena

If you were to have children, and a chain restaurant asked you to give your child a name based on their restaurant to get free food for life, which restaurant are you choosing? And what is the name? It can be any part of the name as well. First name like Wendy Wiger, or middle name like Steve Mayor McCheese Mitchell.

Brian B.

I had a French toast bagel the other day that just tasted like a plain bagel but warm. How out there do y'all get with your bagel types -- any favorites?

Michael D Alegre

My question is about CHIPS, but NOT the crunchy salty kind. I’m talking like Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter Chips, etc. Do you ever eat them by themselves? What’s your favorite type of chip? Are there any food materials you think would thrive in chip form but that haven’t yet been made into a chip? Thanks!!!

Kevin Tully

What are each of your Mount Cocktailmores? (And when are you going on The Sloppy Boys?!)

John Overby

A Dunkin opened in my office building and it’s maybe the best thing about having to go to work. If you had to pick one chain restaurant to be in your office or apartment building, what would it be?

Melanie Losover

Hey Doughboys, I hope this isn’t too grim, but as of this morning I am now a member of the dead dads club with Spoon Man. It’s not great! But I really want to thank you both for the comfort, joy, and laughter that you brought me during the past month that my dad was in the hospital. Doughboys is the only podcast that can make me cry with laughter during the darkest of times! Anyway, my question is have you ever been to a five-fork funeral, and if so, what food was served there? What do you think are the best and worst foods to serve at a funeral? Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I love you goofballs.

Erika Jung

Parent to a toddler here. The Commish (Suss) and many of your guests are new parents. If it when the DB crew have kids, what food-related milestones do you look forward to or dread the most? A big milestone was baby’s first French fry from Monty’s at eight months old (he did not care for it). Also learning to feed himself because spoon-feeding is soooo boring 😂

Brenna Johnston-Kosher

If January is "Dry January" (no booze shall you choose), what's the best liquid to follow up with in February?

Corinne Schwarz

I want to know if any restaurant staff have ever reached out because they heard you praise them on the show? I was recently listening to the Capitol Grille episode and your review of the server was so incredible, I hope that these staff people hear the feedback!

Shawna B

Hey gang! What’s a fast food item you absolutely loved as kids, but has either fallen so much in quality, or your tastes have changed, that you couldn’t imagine eating now? Also, is there an opposite item that you love now, but hated as a kid? Thanks, love the show.

Austin Brungardt

What's the best toy you've ever gotten from a chain restaurant?

Thom van Tijn

What is the worst meal that you have ever eaten because you had to be polite?

Panda Style

I live in Philly. We have a chain from Italy called Alice. I believe its only US outposts are in Philly. I’d love for them to review it.

Joshua Ferris

I had my son one year to the day after seeing you live in NYC. I have never been hungrier than after labor. I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours. What would you order after you were in labor? I had sausage and onion pizza, chicken tenders, and fries from a local pizza restaurant. PS Mitch was on my husbands Uber Eats podcast 😍

Jessica Geisler

Hey Yusong, Emma, Mitch, and Nick! I’ve realized that throughout my life I have been through many phases of fast food fandom whether it was McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, or otherwise. My question is which decade, starting in the 80’s, which decade was the best time to be a fan of fast food? ❤️Fuchs

Christian Fuchs

Wtf is the situation between snap, crackle and pop. Are they coworkers, brothers, lovers?

Arod

Mount saucemore? I'm really into garlic mayo lately.

Karlie Menzel

Dear Yusong, which Pokemon would taste the best?

Jon Stenning

Have you ever tried to go out on a limb and try something new and just fuckin hated it?

Robert Peterson

Let’s say you each had to compete in a Gingerbread House-making contest, but you had to use savory ingredients instead of sweet ones. What would your Savory House be made of and whose would be better??

Andy Buck

What favorite snack has been ruined by a "super size" version of it? I love Oatmeal Creme pies but the double decker is terrible, too much cream! Even for a creamsman. Also, double stuff Oreos come to mind

Matt Morgan

Why does Wieger say “Parmesan” so weird every time? Instead Of “Parma-Jawn” it’s “Parma-zahn” like Steve Zahn…it’s weird

Anthony Ferguson

When ya go to a restaurant do you prefer a booth or a table?

Cody Greenlee

If you could have any non traditional animal as a pet, what would it be?

Eric Wargin

That's wild! I witnessed something similar as a kid on the way to the beach. Small town in NC at the Burger King drive through and when it was almost our turn to order, someone busted out of the back door of the BK at full speed and a few seconds later another employee followed with a huge chefs knife.

Eric Wargin

Aside from Bloody Mary’s or a dirty martini, we don’t have very many savory or spicy drinks. What savory or spicy drink do you wish existed or was more popular?

Long Jawnson

In an alternate reality where The Birthday Boys runs for 8 seasons instead of Portlandia, who does Nick cohost The Doughboys with? Evan Susser? Armen Weitzman? Jared Fogle? Also on this other Earth, Sony and Nintendo did not have a falling out in the 90s and the Nintendo Playstation was released with great success. And Jill Stein is President.

big man

We all know that Tendies are just sauce delivery systems, but what are some of your weirder sauce uses? For example, I put a Mardi Gras Mustard in the Popeyes coleslaw because it's too bland otherwise. I've also been known to dip my Western in Honey Mustard or my Whopper in Sweet and Sour. Thanks guys. Sad about the Portland postponement, hopefully everything will have calmed down by the rescheduled date! Looking forward to seeing ya.

Joshua O'Toole

What is your favorite sad “eat alone in my car” meal?

Tory Fields

What do you think is a tastier: a drink that heals Hit Points ( or HP), such as a potion, a drink that heals Magic Points (or MP), such as a ether. What do you imagine either of them tasting like? -Jack

Jack McClelland

I feel like nick and mitch generally land around the same area with fork scores. What's the restaurant (or general food opinion) that you feel most divided on?

J M D

What’s the worst mess up on a fast food order that you have been the victim of, or what would you consider to be the worst? I recently got a cheesy Gordita crunch from Taco Bell and they only put chicken and a squirt of sour cream in the taco shell. Nothing else. It was disappointing to say the least when I got home and unwrapped my sad, nearly empty CGC. Love you Doughboys! Spoon Nation for life. Long live Yusong. Hi Emma! Cancel the burger brigade.

Ryan L.

In a street fighter style tournament, which fast food mascot do you think would come out on top?

Christopher Brown

When I went to Japan a few years back, I had an egg sandwich and teriyaki powdered fries. Are there any international fast food variations you’d want to try?

Breakerrrr

After winning the NBA Championship, Giannis Antetokounmpo went to Chic Fil-A and ordered a 50-piece nuggets with a half-Sprite, half-lemonade. If you ever won and NBA championship or the podcast equivalent, what would your post-trophy celebration meal be? Also, fuck the Celtics.

jay spanbauer

I once went to a Denny’s super late with some friends and after placing our order with our server, we hear him get in a pretty loud confrontation with another server (who was probably 20-30 years older than him), and then we see the older server open hand slap our server across the face! We sat in stunned silence until our server came over and we asked him if he was ok, he said he was fine but was definitely visibly shaken and upset. Two days later we read in the paper that an employee of that Denny’s came into work the day after that exchange with a large knife and attempted to confront the employee that slapped him!!! What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen an employee of a restaurant do while you were there? Love the show love you guys Dave from Quincy/the doughscord

David Nesti

In a conservative utopia where the founding father do get come back and see America today, what's the first chain restaurant you take then too?

Ryan Gillespie

Every time I go to Costco, I daydream about getting locked inside and having to survive a weekend in there. What would be your Costco survival strategy?

Matthew Incantalupo

Is there a certain restaurant or food item that you can’t eat anymore because you associate it with a person from your past and want to avoid the memories?

Meridith

Is there a food you thought you loved as a kid, but when you got older you realized you only liked that one specific version and all other versions were trash? I thought jellybeans were my favorite candy as a kid but I realized I only liked one brand (Just Born which I think is regional) and all others are merely fine or actually bad.

Meghan

I recently completed a cross-country road trip. Picking food on-the-road can be challenging: do I fiddle with my phone in the hopes of finding some highway-side gem? skip meals while driving and just snack? or pick from whatever options appear on the ubiquitous blue signs 1/2 miles before an exit? Perhaps hardest of all: do I go with what sounds tasty, or with what will ensure I don't need to acquaint myself with a nearby toilet before I reach my night's destination? So, my broad question for you: how do you munch on the road?

Ben Kramer

When I was a preteen, my parents went on vacation to the Bahamas and left me alone for a few days (don’t worry, my grandparents lived next door). One of the meals that I made for myself was simply a full can of Pillsbury crescent rolls and a sizable amount of butter as a side. Are there any insane meals you made for yourselves as kids while home alone?

Joe Hinkle

Imagine you’ve had to create a Doughboys survival village in a post-apocalyptic society. What role would everyone play? Who’s the leader, the soldier, the hunter, the cook, etc? This can include anyone in the Doughboys Extended Podcast Universe.

Lucas Gregory

I got some pizza-flavored potato puffs in Austria recently that were one of the best snacks I’ve ever had, and it got me wondering—what are the best and worst snacks you’ve had from another country?

Kate Agnelli

If you could only eat from a single cuisine for each meal which would they be? I’d do Vietnamese for breakfast, Italian for lunch and Indian for dinner

Jeremy Lovemore

Favorite Dad related food bits? My dad would cook blue berry pancakes for my brother and I. Eventually he would say, “Does anyone want another pancake? Just a small one?” Then he’d pour rest of the batter into the pan and bring out a GAINT pancake! What a thrill and a great dad bit. For context, I’m also in the dead dad club with Mitch and friend of the show Jon Gabrus. That’s one of my favorite bits my Dad would do and specifically wonder if Mitch has one to share.

VHSMIA

Are there any chains in other countries that you'd really like to try?

Karo

Big fan of the Doughfolks. My question: in the game Bugsnax for the PS5, you go around feeding bugs to different islanders. As the islanders eat the bugs, their body parts transform—a pineapple spider turns an arm into a pineapple; a submarine centipede turns a leg into a submarine. In this way, the game becomes a metaphor for the phrase “you are what you eat.” Two parter, here: 1. what would your bodies be transformed into in the past week? 2. What would your IDEAL Bugsnax body be? Much love, Jonathan Volk

Jonathan Volk

What's the best pizza to eat cold the next morning? I think Dominos with extra sauce and the herb butter crust is the perfect morning flavor bomb. I also think your classic NYC slice is not great cold in the morning (it's still good, just not great) unless you cover it in hot sauce.

Jason Faust

Best piece of media you ingested in 2021? (Movie, book, album, podcast, etc…)

Byron Kramden

I would like to hear your most up to date thoughts at the time on The Book of Boba Fett!

Dingus

What’s the worst on set meals you’ve ever been provided?

DerBurs

what do you make for lunch when you're working from home? what is your ideal lunch meal?

Karo

Growing up, we rarely ate fish because my dad didn't like fish (though he liked shellfish and shrimp) and I didn't drink tea until college because my mom hated tea. Now as an adult salmon is one of my favorite foods and I regularly drink tea. What are some parent or family food prejudices that you got over when you left home and started trying new things?

Bobby Libby

Emma and Yusong. Have Mitch or Nick ever given you feedback about your work performance? Was it helpful in your professional development? If you are able to, will you share it?

Joshua Ferris

What is your greatest personal food hack? (Ex. - putting chips in a sandwich, or dipping French Fries in ice cream)

Zeke Gonzalez

You have been cursed and for the rest of your life every sandwich/burger/etc. that you eat has to be made using the same type of bread. E.g. just sesame seed buns from here on out. What are you picking?

Mitch Kapa

Is there a dish you love that is someone else’s special family recipe? My husbands family makes a pineapple ritz cracker casserole dish for holidays and it sounds wild but is so good.

Michelle Kiang

What are your top chain pizza restaurant dipping sauces? i.e. What's on your Mount Chain-pizza-restaurant-dipping-sauce-more

Shaun Hickson

Can you rank these based on your 2021 experiences ONLY: - Taco Bell - Wendys - Burger King - McDonalds

Octavis Witcher

Hello Doughboys, I recently learned from a cousin of mine who is in the Navy that while he was stationed on a ship at sea for multiple months they had a full functioning Starbucks onboard the aircraft carrier. Not a knockoff or limited menu, a full on real Starbucks. If you were deployed at sea for an extended period of time, what is one chain you would choose to have aboard?

Pierce Bauer

Growing up in Massachusetts, I used to watch the Phantom Gourmet on tv every Sunday. I still put it on sometimes when I go home to visit my family. Do any food memories make you feel particularly close to home?

Spam

Hello Dough-fam! I am a connoisseur of the fast food LTO (Limited Time Offering). I basically always want to order a limited time sandwich from any of the Big 3 burger chains, which presents a problem for a chain like McDonalds which only sporadically offers limited time offerings. My question is: do you enjoy taking the risk on an LTO knowing it could be worse than the regular sandwiches on the menu? and are there any LTOs that you still think fondly on (besides the McDLT)? thanks!

Jim

Similarly to Mitch's ludicrous take that cupcakes are pies, my wife and I have had a long-standing disagreement on the classification of a food type. Over the 13 years we've been together, we've constantly had arguments over whether cheesecakes should be identified as a cake or a pie (she's adamant that cheesecakes are pies). We've polled almost everyone we know about this at one point or another, and the opinions are surprisingly balanced. Could you lend your expertise and help us settle this once and for all? Thanks, love the show!

Francis D'Hondt

Shaquille O’Neil and David Ortiz have accepted your dinner invitation at Doughboys Studios. What dishes are you preparing to most impress your sports heroes?

Nate Holland

I love you doughboys and Emma, et al. What is an appropriate time of day to eat a cheesecake? It feels like it's not beyond reason for it to be a breakfast item (not that different from a Danish), but after dinner dessert seems to be what the world has agreed on and I think it is a huge limitation

Paul Warner

Hey Doughboys, We all know there's a worker shortage at most chain restaurants (caused by poor wages). If you were drafted, Tomorrow War-style, to work at a chain restaurant for two weeks, what restaurant would you want to work at and what job would you want to do there?

Bill Zilch

do you think mac n cheese is the next chicken sandwich? who would you like to see get in the mac n cheese game?

Dan Sath

What is the best fast food deal you have encountered? Back in the mid 90s there was a Subway I would go to in NYC that had 2 foot longs for $8. 12 years before the $5 foot long promotion. Also in the early 90s at a McDonalds in Florida I went to, there use to be 29 Cent Hamburger Tuesdays and 39 Cent Cheeseburger Wednesdays.

If you started a fast food chain based on any fictional food, what would it be and how would you do it?

hi d’boys, emma and yusong! Jimmy and Alice, big fans from Glasgow, Scotland here. One of our national delicacies is the munchie box - a 12 inch pizza box filled with a variety of delicious fried foods. These can include pakora, chips (aka fries), kebabs, onion rings, garlic bread and more. There are even breakfast varieties including a full scottish breakfast served in the classic cardboard pizza box. Our question is simple: what would you put in your dream munchie box? Thank you for your time, you legends xx

What is the ideal triangle pizza slice angle? An acute slice is fun, obtuse is too much. Do you like a sliver, or an equilateral?

Nicholas Hoffman

What types of shoes are your favorite styles and brands? No idea why, but I'm just curious, you cute fucks.

Chris Baker

Hey boys, Emma, and ghost of Yusong! I’m sorry to say that one of the Wendy’s nearest my house recently closed out of the blue. This is kind of a bummer for me cause it was on my way home from work and I would occasionally stop for a treat like a Junior bacon cheeseburger or Spicy chicken sandwich on a crappy day. My question is, what is the most you’ve ever ever been impacted by the closing of an individual location of a larger chain? Thanks, love you all!

What type of snacks should I bring to the Milwaukee show?

Growing up, I took a pb&j sandwich to school until I was in the 4th grade and for some reason the sight of it made me sick. Did you take the same thing for lunch for years or were you a normal kid? Love you guys!

Mary Paren

Hello all! It's westcoastwuest from the discord! I'm a big fan of hikes and often forget to pack a lunch so I'm out there eating cliff bars and then gorging when I get back home. What is your ideal post workout/activity feast meal for when you really feel you've earned it. Mine is a giant burrito (got a chilliquiles burrito last time) and way too much chips and salsa. Love the pod Go team Raising Canes!

Doughboys generally is not a political show, but when you do talk politics, you express support for workers and criticism of capitalism (cards on the table, I think that’s cool and I agree with you). Would you all consider yourselves socialists, and either way, what was your path to your politics?

Will Bloom

If you guys were to have a hypothetical eat off, what food item could you consume more of than the others before having to tap out?

Noah Wright

If you could have any two restaurants collab items to make something together what would it be. Ex: Big Mac sauce on a whopper

Kyle

Hey all! My name is Valerie and I’m a huge fan! My question is: If you were stranded on a desert island and could only eat your standard 3 meals to survive where would they be and why? You cannot get breakfast and lunch/dinner from the same place! Example: no Big Mac if your going to get an egg McMuffin! I’m from Long Island and I hope to see you guys live soon!

Valerie Capone

Can you guys arm wrestle? Think it’d be quality content. Winner takes on Gabrus?
