Axe Beak Executioner (Boss CR 3) Creature Packet
Added 2024-10-04 16:16:29 +0000 UTCHowdy folks! Today's creature packet features the Axe Beak Executioner we previewed in our Fiendish Forge campaign.
This one is different - it is a Boss CR 3 variant, with new abilities and mechanics - and different items as well! It also introduces our Meal items, which is something I think you all will enjoy!
EDIT: Fixed some wording - and included an Axe Beak Minion stat block!

There is no mechanic to stop it - it's essentially future-proofing if a player manages to somehow to stop it with something we haven't seen. If a player is smart - we don't want to punish it by going "Well - it happens anyway!" (That's why we removed Legendary Resistance). If the Meteor is somehow blocked - the turn would just go as it normally would.

Just double checking as well with the execution phase, it says something about if it happens successful it cannot do anything else for the rest of the round. That implies that something can be done to prevent it, so is that said anywhere that I'm missing, or is it more future proofing for player shenanigans?

2024-10-04 18:40:41 +0000 UTCLooking great. Got a couple of questions though. First, is this a word missing from the vengeance trait? It seems like it should be every time a creature is damaged, the axe beak does additional damage to it equal to the vengeance charge. But right now it reads "For every Vengeance Charge, whenever a creature is, the Axe Beak Executioner also deals an additional point of damage..." instead of "For every Vengeance Charge, whenever a creature is *damaged*, the Axe Beak Executioner also deals an additional point of damage..." And secondly, is there a currently available minion statblock? I didn't see it included here and don't know if it's a fiendish forge exclusive or not.
