I figured that I like to paint jewelry. It usually has a nice contrast between the lights and the darks and I think it really gives a portrait more of a unique look.

2020-12-02 17:44:50 +0000 UTCHi Fari! Yes you can use odorless mineral spirits to thin your paints. Also, if you want your paints to dry faster, you can use a painting medeum such as Liquin :)

2020-12-02 11:38:15 +0000 UTCHi Daria, I am new here and starting self portrait. My first attempt:). I am so confused about which medium to use. I have odorless spirit. Can I use it as a medium. I don't want to extend or delay the drying time. Is it absolutely necessary to use medium or I can work with paints only? Thanks for your help!
