Spire of Euclid Boss : Salvo Guana

This was a fun encounter, and got to experiment with "Hard Mode" bosses as a Salvo Guana Matriarch.

BOSS : Salvo Guana

HP : 465 (525 in Hard Mode)

AC : 15

STR 12, DEX 18, CON 13, INT 12, WIS 12, CHA 16

Saving Throws DEX +8, WIS +5

Traits

Condition Immunities : Charmed, exhaustion, paralyzed, petrified

Damage Immunities: Fire

Vulnerabilities : Once per round, any type of Cold Damage dealt to Salvo Guana adds a Vulnerability Stack.

Lava Tail : The tail can now be targeted instead of Salvo Guana. When targeted, all damage sources are redirected to the tail, except when the source is from an AoE (in which case, it only damages Salvo Guana).  The Tail has all of Salvo Guana’s Attributes, except it has -1 AC and 100 HP.  It is resistant to all sources of bludgeoning and piercing damage.  If the tail is at 0 HP, it severs off of Salvo, dealing true Damage to Salvo Guana.  Salvo Guana’s Tail Mace attack becomes Damaged Tail Mace.  This adds a Vulnerability Stack. A guaranteed reward will be added to the treasure pool.

Salvo Pads : The feet pads can now be targeted instead of Salvo Guana. When targeted, all damage sources are redirected to the pads , except when the source is from an AoE (in which case, it only damages Salvo Guana).  The pads have all of Salvo Guana’s Attributes, except it has +4 AC and 50 HP. If the pads is at 0 HP while hanging up on the wall, Salvo Guana falls, taking fall damage and knocked prone for the rest of the round.  Salvo Pads always restore to full health every new Phase Turn.

Guana Tongue : The tongue can now be targeted as a reaction when Salvo Guana attacks with Tongue Whip. When targeted, all damage sources are redirected to the tongue, except when the source is from an AoE (in which case, it only damages Salvo Guana).  The Tongue has all of Salvo Guana’s Attributes, except it has +2 AC and 50 HP.  It is resistant to all sources of bludgeoning and piercing damage.  If the tongue is at 0 HP, it damages the tongue, dealing true Damage to Salvo Guana.  Salvo Guana’s Tongue Whip attack becomes Damaged Tongue Whip.  This adds a Vulnerability Stack. This allows for an additional loot roll.

Guana Eyes :  The eyes can now be targeted instead of Salvo Guana. When targeted, all damage sources are redirected to the eyes, except when the source is from an AoE (in which case, it only damages Salvo Guana).  The eyes has all of Salvo Guana’s Attributes, except it has 50 HP.  If the eyes are at 0 HP, it damages the eyes, dealing true Damage to Salvo Guana.  Salvo Guana’s suffers disadvantage from all perception checks.  This adds a Vulnerability Stack. This allows for an additional loot roll.

Turns

Execution Turn (30) : When Salvo Guana is under 200 HP (250 HP in Hard Mode), Salvo Guana creates an Armageddon Eruption, targeting a hunter.  At the end of the next Execution Turn, the Armageddon Eruption goes off.

Restoration Turn (25) : Salvo Guana sheds their skin, ending any negative ongoing effect. (In Hard Mode Salvo Guana heals 20 HP.)

Move Turn (20) : Salvo Guana moves up to their movement speed, attacking anyone 10 feet away from them during the move with a Tongue Whip attack. (In Hard Mode, Salvo Guana May attack with a Tail Mace)

Action Turn (15) : Salvo Guana attacks with a Tail Mace attack.  If Salva Guana is near a Lava Pool and the tail has not been severed, they dip their tail into the lava, transforming their Tail Mace attack into a Lava Tail Mace attack until the the end of their next Action Turn. (In hard Mode, Salvo Guana Attacks with 2 Tail Maces)

Battlefield Turn (10) : Salvo Guana channels the power of fire, creating a Lavafall. Only 3 Lavafalls can be active on the battlefield.

Phase Turn (1) : This turn is optional. Salvo Guana can take 4 move turns. Salva Guana moves over to a Lava Pool, drinking it up, and then move up a wall.  Until the end of the next Phase Turn, at the end of every hunter’s turn, a Lava Spew attack is targeted where that Hunter started their turn.  At the end of the next Phase Turn, Salva Guana leaps off the wall.  Salva Guana takes no other turns during this period of time.
