My Yandere Maid is Obsessed with Me: Chapter 1

Ryu

My eyes flutter open as I adjust to the light. The same ceiling I’ve seen for the last sixteen years is staring back at me. Turning to my side, I gaze deeply into the reddish-pink orbs that wake me up daily. Her face is in a constant state of stoicism, with her blond hair cascading down her back as she looks at me intently.

I quickly closed my eyes once I caught her gaze, waiting for the treat I must have before I get out of bed. It only took a matter of a few seconds before I heard a slight sigh, then wetness enveloped my lips. We both knew what was about to happen, as I did it every morning.

My arms wrapped around the back of her head, and I held her there for a while as our tongues caressed each other. It was my favorite part of the day, getting to wake up and see my beautiful, deadly maid, with a huge emphasis on deadly.

Over my sixteen years of life, I’ve had multiple assassination attempts, and most of them were foiled by the girl willingly giving herself to me. What can I say, ‘I love her,’ but she never gives me a chance. She will willingly kiss me like this, but if I bring up a relationship with her, she will just ignore me or change the subject.

After I released my kiss, I licked her lips to get one last taste before I asked the question that annoys her most. “Melody, will you marry me?”

“Nope…” She said in a matter-of-fact tone as she sat back in the chair next to my bed.

“But… why?” I try my hardest to look hurt as I stare at her with sadness. “Am I not good enough for you?”

“You’re far better than me, young master; that’s why I refuse.” You could see her flinch at the finality of her words as if she didn’t truly mean them, but it was only slightly.

“I told you to call me Ryu, not young master.” I sighed.

“You know I can’t do that with your position and mine merely being a commoner maid.”

“Who gives a shit about you being a commoner?” I jump up out of my bed and pull her into my embrace, falling back.

“Young master, you know I shouldn’t be sitting on your lap like this.“

“Well, I don’t care. You’re mine, aren’t you? Isn’t that right?” My eyes were fierce as I said that with pride.

“Yes, I’m yours, but we still can’t get married.” Even though she said those words, Melody goes along with any of my advances I make on her. She gives me absolutely no refusal, no matter how crazy. Well, except for the marriage question.

I have her dress me daily, where I show her my very well-endowed package I received in this new life. She willingly follows me into the shower, butt naked, and washes my body very thoroughly. Even when I ask her to be my hug pillow for the night, she doesn’t deny it and just allows me to hug her tightly.

All of her actions and everything she puts up with point to the fact she wants to officially become my lover but still denies it. My mother gave her to me as my personal maid on my fourteenth birthday. I thought it was a weird gift to be given on a birthday, but I found out early on just how valuable she was. Not to mention, I was very attracted to her.

Not even a month after she became my official personal maid, I had an assassination attempt on my life. She easily killed off the three intruders as if they were nothing but cannon fodder. I think it was then when my love for her started to grow. Yes, she was very beautiful, but her loyalty towards me was unshakable as we grew up together over the years.

She was only one year older than me, but with her very confident and quiet demeanor, she gave off the feel of someone beyond her years. Melody would literally stick to me twenty-four seven, three hundred sixty-five days a year. Only when she was preparing a meal would I ever be alone in my room.

Because of the danger I was in on a daily basis, she refused to allow anyone but her to prepare my meals. I guess I should say my position is quite high in this kingdom, being one of its princes. But I was very far down the totem pole when it came to becoming the heir.

“I love you, Melody.” I say with all of my heart as I embrace her even tighter, unwilling to let her go.

“I know young mas… I mean, Ryu, I also care about you.”

Nice, she actually used my name for a change instead of calling me young master. These kinds of exchanges always bring me joy. My daily goal is to make her stoic face crack even a little. So my attempts at doing something outrageous keep getting bigger and bigger, but she always just takes it without complaint.

I’ve seen my mother talking to Melody in private on more than one occasion. There’s something I don’t know, and it really irritates me. But whenever I ask her what she talked about, she claims it’s just about my day-to-day.

The serious look on both of their faces during those conversations says otherwise. If they were just talking about my day-to-day, wouldn’t my mother at least be smiling? I know Melody would still have her stone-cold expression, but my mom usually smiles whenever she’s around me.

“Let’s get up, get dressed, and start the day, young master.”

Sigh… she went right back to young master; I so hate that stupid title. Sixteen years ago, when I was reborn into this world, I couldn’t believe it. I had received a second chance at life, and I even became a prince.

But I was in no position to be excited about such a birth with all the enemies that are currently residing within this castle. From stories of my past life, I was never a fan of nobility and understood how corrupt they would become for even a little bit of power.

“Alright, my love.” I said with a smirk as I saw Melody’s lips twitch.

I tossed off all of my clothes as I stood up, watching her go to my closet and retrieve what I will be wearing for the day. Even though I was completely in the buff when she came back, I saw no reaction. She just started dressing me as if completely immune to seeing me this way.

Well, she has seen my naked body more than anyone alive, so I guess she would become resistant at some point. I remember the first time I did this; even though I was extremely embarrassed, I still got a rise out of her. She actually broke that cold look for the first time after being with me for six months. Her bashful face was so divine I thought I might just take her right there.

At first I was extremely nervous around her and would even bathe with clothes on as she would try to wash me. But that all faded away as my feelings for her grew more and more. I mean, why should I even care if she sees me naked, as it's something common in this type of world for servants to see their masters that way?

My other siblings tried to insert more maids into my room so they could spy on me, but none of them could handle the aggressive nature of Melody. She was like a cuddly bunny towards me, but to everyone else she was the Grim Reaper. That’s probably another appeal of hers, so extremely dangerous, yet I can do anything to her without retaliation.

On her very first day, my mother had Melody swear her life to me on some pendant that I still wear around my neck to this day. That’s why I feel there is more going on than meets the eye. Also, would something really happen to her if she went back on her oath?

“Do you know what you have to do today, young master?” Melody said with a solemn face. She also had quite the annoyance on her face as if it was grave news.

“What’s that?” Before she could continue, I suggested, “Are we going out on a date?”

“Sadly, no, but you will have a marriage meeting for a possible bride selection.”

“Just tell them to fuck off.” I don’t want some stuck-up bitch of a noble’s daughter becoming my bride. I’m completely content with my beautiful maid.

Looking at Melody, who gave a slight smile, I said, “I wish I could, young master, but it’s mandatory.”

I grabbed her hands in mine as she started to make her way to the door. “Let’s just run away together and elope.” I suggested being completely serious.

This got the biggest reaction from Melody that I’ve ever seen. Her face got bright red, and I could see her body tremble. She quickly turned away from me. “I wish that were the case, Ryu.”

Not missing out on this opportunity. I hug her from behind and whisper in her ear. “I’m not kidding. Just say the word, and I will start packing to get the hell out of here.”

I felt her knees buckle as she fell back into my arms. “What about your mother?” Is she actually contemplating it right now? Has she finally given in? “You’re all she has left and would be sad if we ran away.”

“Hmm… I guess that’s true. But couldn’t we just run away with her?” I came up with the perfect plan.

“That could be possible, but what happens if your soul mate is the girl you’re running away from today?” The strength in her body was gone as I felt something wet hit my hand.

Turning her around quickly, I could see her eyes redden. “What’s wrong? Also, who the hell is my soul mate if it isn’t you?” Seeing a tear actually drop from her delicate face hurt me when she was such a strong woman. “Let me show you the way I truly feel.”

I grabbed her hand, pulling her along, and made my way towards this so-called marriage candidate. The whole time I walked towards the selected location, I couldn’t help but smile in pure excitement. She actually showed real emotion on her face for the first time since she’s been here.

“We shouldn’t hold hands when you’re planning to meet another girl.” She said weakly as I just ignored her plea. My grip on her hand was even firmer as the servants pointed us in the direction of our destination. You could see the surprised faces of all the individuals we passed as I was being way too familiar with my maid.

Melody was fully capable, with her skills, to break my hold but didn’t. Either she didn’t want to or was possibly dealing with conflicting emotions that caused her to have inaction and decided to just go with the flow.

I could feel her sweaty palms as if she was deeply worried about something, and that didn’t sit well with me. As I entered the room with the girl in question looking at me smugly, I felt Melody break our contact.

Getting to my chair, I watched the girl across the table stand up and offer her hand as if she wanted me to kiss it. I just stood there and stared. According to etiquette, the one with the lower rank is supposed to introduce themselves first.

A prince is pretty high up, and I doubt the one across from me is a princess from another kingdom. My father, whom I’ve only seen a few times in my life, couldn’t care less about me. Why would he try to set me up with some princess?

I watched on in amusement as the girl with hair as dark as night and eyes as blue as the ocean got annoyed at my nonaction. While I do find her attractive, her personality, I’m sure, would be a deal breaker.

“You know I’ve come a long way from my kingdom just to get treated this way?” She said with annoyance. “I’m a princess, and you treat me with this kind of disrespect.”

Hmm… so she really was a princess? I guess I’m being sold off just like my mother. But my heart has already selected who I want and won’t be changing. I wouldn't be surprised to see this girl dead in a ditch by tomorrow because of the fate my previous marriage candidates had experienced after our first interaction.

It was probably Melody, but I never really tried to get her to admit it. I just smiled at her with a knowing look when another one turned up dead or missing.
