“AHHHH!” A loud scream rang out, causing everyone’s attention to be directed to the source.
I smirked happily at the spectacle as I threw down another headless mage. They really had weak bodies. Looking at the twisted expression from Lyra gave me pause. I couldn’t tell if she was happy or sad at the development.
Gwen was fiercely biting her father all over the upper back and neck area, drawing lots of blood. I’m happy to see she’s embracing her new life and releasing herself from the demons of her past.
“Hehehe, I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” I say with a mocking tone towards Lyra.
“You might be right, but she could easily be poked by the thorns growing from that same tree.” After her words, a red, fiery glow erupted around her body, creating a massive arrow pointing in Gwen’s direction. Seeing my newly turned subordinate in danger, I couldn’t help myself but interfere.
Throwing out my whip coated in chaotic energy, I wrap it around Lyra’s neck and pull her back at the same moment she lets her weapon free. The arrow flew in the direction of our newly built mansion, impacting a few feet above Gwen’s head straight into the barrier. It was completely nullified.
I watched on as Lyra looked back at me with hatred. “Everyone kill her, right this instance!” The latter part was said with an ear-piercing scream.
There were still over one hundred knights and a few mages clinging to life. They all rushed me as if their life depended on it. My mind went blank for a second as all the knights surrounded me with their swords drawn in front of them as they made the circle smaller.
Even though I was capable of living multiple strikes, it still wasn’t a pleasant feeling. I looked at Lyra, who was making a beeline straight for Gwen. She probably won’t last long just being a normal vampire, so if I want to save her life, I need to get out of this situation.
There was something I wanted to try ever since I learned my affinity is with chaos magic, and this was the perfect opportunity. I got a little taste of it earlier, but that was only floating. Flying for real would be something amazing.
Before I was about to turn into Swiss cheese, I jumped into the air as high as I could while coating my body in chaotic magic. I accelerated up at high speeds, making everyone down below look like nothing more than ants in the matter of a few seconds.
Coming to a complete stop thousands of feet in the air, I marveled at the mayhem that was currently taking place below. Shuka was wrecking house as she grew even bigger and more deadly. All different types of body parts littered the area where she was massacring the knights. Black marks were all over the ground and buildings, signs of her lightning magic.
She was very much in a state of frenzy, trying her best to not give in fully to those primal urges she has. “Shuka!” I yelled. Her forward momentum in cleaving apart all her enemies stopped abruptly as she looked into the sky. My index finger pointed at Gwen, “Save her!” I commanded. Even though I know she would rather not, I want to give that girl a chance to live.
I also needed Shuka off the field with what I was about to do. It was either going to be a very smart or stupid decision, but I’ve already resolved myself to see it through.
Watching on as Shuka turns back into her human-like form and grabbing Gwen just before Lyra was about to get her hands on her, both landing inside of the barrier.
Alright, let’s get this show on the road. I reach down deep into the very center of my being, where I feel the purest chaotic energy. I guide it all out as powerfully as I possibly can, enveloping my whole body and turning it into a bright crimson color as the sky began to be littered with thousands of chaos bolts.
Condense…condense…condense I imagined making it as hard as possible for the best effect. My arms were spread out wide as I marveled at the scene and the panicked faces of all those down below. Even though it was difficult to make them out from this distance, it was still possible because of my heightened senses.
I wonder how my rank percentage is doing from all this experience I’ve consumed recently.

Forty-five percent, that’s not too bad. I wonder how much more it will go up after this ultimate move. My body was starting to feel weak from all the chaotic energy I was putting into it. The sky was turning a shade of red as I readied myself.
Now to come up with a good name for this awesome attack, after thinking for a few seconds I came to a decision. I didn’t have much time to deliberate, so it was the first thing that sounded good in my head.
“Chaotic Shower!" I yell as I let them fly.
The thousands of crimson bolts of magic litter the ground. A deafening sound resonated from all the explosions that made it hard to make out what was actually happening down below as I hovered in the sky. Because of the swiftness and violent nature of the attack, no one was even able to scream before their life was snuffed out.
After some time had passed and the rising dark smoke had subsided, I got my first look at the devastation of my newly created ultimate move. The attack had taken out three-fourths of the current standing army, with a small portion of them being saved from Lyra's magic. She did boast about her ability with spirits to defend; I guess that wasn't a lie.
Lyra had created multiple types of barriers from many different elements that protected a small amount of troops. I guess to a certain degree she does care about people, or she just didn't want to lose any possible knights for later confrontations. My eyes quickly located her, who was huffing and puffing from the overexertion of mana. Something I could very much relate to.
I smirked inside seeing her in such bad shape because she was unable to block everything and took some damage from my attacks. Most of the knights she kept alive also took damage of some kind.
The sight was quite enjoyable of a job well done until my vision started getting blurry. The chaos magic that was keeping me up in the air dissipated as I started the descent towards the ground. I was having a hard time trying to right myself in the air as I kept plummeting. My body was currently falling headfirst at terminal velocity.

Shuka
I can't say I'm thrilled about saving the girl named Gwen, but Selene wants her saved, so I'll do it. Hearing her voice at this time was also very helpful because of the anxiety I was starting to feel because of how out of control I was starting to feel. Bestial wrath is sure a powerful skill, but all I see is red during the activation. That is unless Selene gets my attention, which seems to break me out of that trance as if I was never in it.
After Selene's words, I look at the devastation I created and think back to what my family thought of me in the past. If they only knew what I had become, they would beg me to come back. But that would never happen. If anything, they will die by my hands in the future.
"DIEEE!!!!" Hearing those words scream aloud, I saw Lyra going towards Gwen at high speed.
Stop thinking about the past! I can't fail Selene, and I must save her new pet because that's all Gwen will ever be to my Selene. She's mine, and I won't let anyone take my place in her heart.
Pushing lightning to my feet, I explode myself off the ground in the direction of Gwen using all the speed I could muster. It would be very close who would actually reach the still engrossed Gwen, who was still feeding on her target.
Canceling the bestial wrath skill, I turned back into a more compact form, my speed increasing even more as I impacted Gwen's body a second before Lyra. I sent both Gwen and I flying into the barrier of our new home. As we entered, there was a powerful burst of wind that impacted our bodies, slowing us down considerably.
We both landed a few feet from the front door, coming to a complete stop as all hell broke loose outside.
"Ugh." The weight of Gwen's body was currently on top of mine. This was something I couldn't accept as I threw her off into the distance. I will only ever allow one person in this world to touch me.
"Ouch!" Gwen complains as she lands far into the distance, still behind the barrier.
Looking up, I watch in awe as the spell Selene was casting finishes, bringing destruction upon all those who dare to stand against her. My emotions surge as her figure envelops my eyes. To be with someone this powerful is a true blessing and we will only get stronger in the future.
'Shuka! Go to Selene right now!' Hearing those words in my head, I study Selene closely and notice she's lost her red glow. She started falling with no sign of stopping her current speed.
Without any words back to my now mother-in-law, she launched herself in the direction of Selene as she plummeted towards the ground.
I truly believed Selene would survive this fall, but if I can help it, I don't want her to feel any pain. She's too precious to ever allow her to feel pain if I can prevent it.
Using the same strategy, increasing my speed as before, a sonic boom vibrates all of my surroundings. I was going multiple times faster than when she tried to save Gwen.
Save her, save her, save her! I kept repeating it in my mind as I closed the gap between us. Seeing Selene only seconds away from face-planting into the ground, I locked eyes with her, who was smiling. Why was she smiling when her life was in possible danger?
"Selene!" I couldn't help but yell out her name as my lightning sparked brighter than ever before, sending me right into her embrace. She was holding her arms wide as if she already knew I would save her and was just waiting for me to show up.
The second I felt her arms around my body, we were both sent in the direction of my momentum. I instantly activated bestial wrath, turning into a large wolf, using my body to protect Selene from any harm cradling her in my enlarged body.
Smashing into the ground hundreds of feet into the distance, I sigh in relief, feeling Selene's movement on top of my body.
"I knew as soon as I started falling that you would be there to catch me." Those were her words as I released my skill, and her body landed on top of mine. She gave me a seductive smile as she licked her lips looking down at me.
My more bestial nature always comes to the surface every time Selene does something like this. I couldn't help myself but pull her into a deep kiss. Who would have thought my life would turn into something like this and my future lover would be a girl? But I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm very much looking forward to the future and what the both of us will become. The world we will build together will be something to behold.
