A "Thank You" for your patience.

While I do plan to put out bonus shows in January, I wanted to thank you for bearing with me over the past few months by pausing payments through March 1, 2023. This doesn't mean that anything is changing with the show, but that I wanted to thank you for bearing with my shaky release schedule these past few months.

What happened was that I was elevated to a new position at work completely out of nowhere. What you can imagine is that I was in the role of Timothy (cf. 2 Tim 4:13), whose biggest charge was to bring some cloaks and parchments to Paul. Imagine if he then got there with the cloaks and parchments and was told, "By the way, I'm making you the head of this entire religion. You start Monday." So it took a while to take in this massively disruptive life change, but what I can say is that I worked on those episodes every day in some capacity; I refuse to ever go a day without doing something BSC-related. By now I have reached the point where there's some normalcy, and actually, this elevation is temporary as well, so the anticipation of doing more shows again has been helping me get through it.

My research for the Montanism episodes has also revealed more support for my theory from the records of the late second century church, so for my next episodes I hope to delve more into that, and look more into Justin or one of those fools.

Your support is crucial because it helps pay for the books and articles that can't be secured through other means. Especially when, in my personal life, I'm asked what I want for Christmas, and I always say "any of the Christianity books on my Wish List," yet no one ever purchases them for me. So you do have a very important role in this and my biggest goal for Year 3 of BSC is to do a series on the Book of Revelation. When it gets to that point, I will do a series of posts or messages asking patrons to help by throwing out ideas of what they would like to see covered in the series.

Thank you again and if you happen to visit the infant Jesus tomorrow, please ensure that you depart for your own country "by another way." Since it was apparently so important for Matthew to mention it, it seems like something you should probably do as well.
