I heard you! CHOOSE YOUR THEME polls

Hey supporters!

Back in early December I asked you what we should do with the Choose Your Theme poll.
After haven given you some time to vote on the survey and a chance to express your feelings on the matter, I've looked over the data and concluded the following summary and interpretation:

As expected, there was a low participation on the survey, with only 28% of patrons voting either "yes" or "no" with regards to keeping the Choose Your Theme polls. Only 3% elaborated on their choice. However, of those 28% patrons, an overwhelming 73% voted in favor of the Choose Your Theme poll.
From this I conclude that the majority of patrons does not have a strong opinion on what kind of polls we have. The majority within the group of those patrons that do have an opinion however, would very much like to keep this type of poll. 

The quantitative analysis therefore strongly suggests we shouldn't abandon it.
Looking at some of the qualitative data, I can summarize these concerns about the current state of the Choose Your Theme polls:

1. Patrons are not in favor of themes unfitting for the months the polls are for (Christmas related theme for March, for instance)

2. Coming up with themes broad enough for enough characters to qualify but specific enough to not loosen the rules is strenuous 

I can only conclude that while - yes, we absolutely should involve patrons enough to let them decide the theme every now and then, we also need to restructure the Choose Your Theme polls.
For now, the Choose Your Theme polls, will allow you to suggest your favorite franchises instead of coming up with a theme that possibly groups characters across franchises.
As it is now time for a new poll, I will go ahead and create the first Choose Your Theme with these new rules in place!
