The Video Vault!

Hey everyone! I decided to do some digital excavating and I found some videos that havnt seen the light of day in over a decade! This is kind of sort of an origin story for my career because before the cosplay really took off, I was trying to figure out this whole "on-camera personality" thing with a series called "Michael Hamm Does Stuff." I started those videos before my patreon which is crazy to think. Looking back it is a chaotic time capsule of what i thought it was to be an "influencer". This is back when production value was low, energy was manic, and every YouTuber needed a comically large knife to open mail...right? no that last one was just me? cool.

For those who weren't around in 2014, these videos were for a company I worked with called comic bento. Unlike the loot crate clones filled with cheap plastic junk, comic Bento was actually really cool. They were a monthly subscription service that was only graphic novels and trade paperbacks. At this point i had been asked to wotk with loot crate a few time and always turned it down because i knew id likey throw out half the stuff anyway. I HAVE ENOUGH MUGS AND BOTTLE OPENERS ALREADY!

Watch me open my very first box with the "Little Guy" theme and I was so excited to film this that I literally didn't even shower after the gym. I have the weird accent in this and i clearly thought this was going to be my "online personality"

This one is explosive themed and while i feel like it is a bit more "me", I still felt like i need to be a character. This one features Celine Dion so it might not be viewable to some of you because of copy right issues lol. Stay till the end for bad dancing!

The saga continues with a "fight" theme but this video is a great look into how messed up it in inside my brain. I fell like its a chaotic place but its enjoyable. The editing is... special.

Watching these is crazy... I can't believe I'm still using this weird voice and i can't believe that I was an adult who didn't know how to pronounce "orchid". There such a high cringe value to these that I love and hate, but i will say that i love the into so much. I love getting to see my cats again!!
