---------------------------------------------

Haha! It's two weeks since the last report and I remembered this time!

I said last time that Starmind would likely not be weekly anymore, instead publishing on a when-I-can basis, and that looks like it'll hold true for at least the forseeable future. Due to a whole bunch of different reasons my backlogs for for Draka and Splinter Angel are smaller than I'd like, and I simply can't justify dropping below 2 chapters/week written in either series to work more on what is, still, a side project. But don't worry. I like writing Starmind as much as you like reading it, so it's still going places, just not quite as steadily as before.

That'll be even more true the next few weeks. I'm beginning manuscript prep for Book 3 of Splinter Angel, and in my experience I need a bit over an hour per 10,000 words if everything goes smoothly. That goes up if I find any serious continuity problems, or if there are too many sections I don't like. I never can know until I get started. That, of course, means that I'll have minimal writing time for anything that isn't new work on my two primary series.

I really do like editing my work, though, so it's not all bad. And I suspect I'll miss Star and the Crew too much to stay away for long. I'll try to sneak a few hundred words every so often.

I'd like to round off tonight by saying that Splinter Angel: Book 1 has been outdoing my expectations by a wide margin. For several days now it's been in the top 4000 of all books on Kindle, hovering around #10 and 11 on the LGBTQ list, and in the top 50 on GameLit & LitRPG. If not for all of you, my Patreon members who read the story when I first started publishing it as a side project and who liked it enough to encourage me to keep working on it, it never would have gone on to Royal Road, and certainly never into publication.

I don't know if it's possible to say thank you too often. And if it is, I don't care. Thank you. Thank you for your support, and your encouragement. And most of all, thank you for reading.

Hey there. Just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying all of your series. They're all kinds of fascinating and original, the characters are beautifully well developed, and your writing style is engaging and fun. I could (and did) read any one of them to the exclusion of everything else until I run out. I saw from your profile on here that you're making about $1k/mo off of your work here on patreon. Since that's not enough to live on and keeping you paid would mean getting to keep reading your stories, I wanted to contribute more. You should make an optional extra tier that doesn't give any extra benefits so I can give you more money! πŸ˜‰ I hope whatever you get from Amazon/Audible is enough to make up the difference. Your work ethic is admirable. Feel appreciated! πŸ˜† Looking forward to reading literally everything you write forever. Keep up the good work!
