I have good news on the new website front! I've signed the contract and will be putting down the initial down payment tomorrow, and after that we'll be off to the races! According to the plan whipped up the new website should be live by mid-September, coinciding roughly with the 10th anniversary of Bodysuit 23! It's going to be neat to have both B23 and Kat hosted on my own personal website instead of having to rely on redirecting people elsewhere to read it. Plus I'll finally have some stuff fixed such as hitting the arrow keys when typing a comment causes you to go to the next page, losing everything you were writing! I had originally gotten the code to do that from someone else and was not in contact with them anymore once that bug was noticed, and being the novice in programming that I was I had no way of fixing it. More importantly, the new website will allow y'all to read the Patreon locked pages on my website instead of having to come to Patreon to read them! Patreon has always been a pain in the ass to read the comics so it'll nice to give the option to go to my website, click "newest page," and if you're logged onto patreon you *should go straight to the patreon blocked pages to read them! I forgot to ask about the ability of having a news blog post be under the page, so I may or may not have these patreon blog posts on there as well. If I do then you'd only need to come to the website for the high res and roughs and one off images! Hell, maybe I should ask whether I can create a easy to access page to download zip files of each chapters high res and roughs directly on the website too! I'm sure that'll be insanely useful for some of y'all! Would make it easier for me to to direct people to it if they want a collection of the high res/roughs! Also, I'll go ahead and spoil it here, but I'm ditching the Latis Books name I've been using for about a decade now for the website. Originally the idea was I'd self-publish a lot of written works, like Magical Girl Dallas and Cafe,but ultimately I've leaned harder into doing comics instead of just written works. The name doesn't really make sense anymore. Instead, I will be changing the website's url to... MEHGAZONE.COM! I'm consolidating my personal branding into one singular name instead of using Patricia/Peter Barton for some stuff and Megazone for others. That and also putting myself a step away from the anime OVA Megazone 23, which was my alias' namesake. It was always meant to be a throwaway name anyway, except I could never come up with a better one. Gotta come up with a new spiffy logo, too... Anyway, that's it for this week's update!
