Added 2022-11-17 23:57:55 +0000 UTCI'm about 20ish hours into Sonic Frontiers and continue to have fun despite all the jank that is in the game. Controlling Sonic is just a lot of fun, and that's the most important part in my book. That and it knows when to go full on with the ham. Seriously, fighting against the second boss, when the chorus kicks in, gave me the same sort of feeling from back when I was 11 years old playing against Final Hazard in Sonic Adventure 2. I love it. I could go on and on about its issues, but you can find other people break it down and tell you why it's bad and how you shouldn't play it. Despite all that (and the fact Wario64 tweeted it being $40 on Sunday), I'm having a ball. Most fun I've had playing a game this year since Elden Ring. Not to compare the two, since Elden Ring is leagues better. Frontier just came out at the exact moment I wanted to play the sort of game it's dishing, and I'm eating it up.
