Added 2022-03-24 23:30:02 +0000 UTCI think I might be done with Elden Ring? I still haven't beaten it yet, but I'm at boss #1 that stands before the final boss. And, between you and me, I've never been into the boss fights in these types of games. The fun I had was from exploring and working my way through dangerous levels and environments to see what other cool things there are. Boss fights acted as gatekeepers to me. I'll admit I'm not the best player in the world, and only focus on increasing my stats for things like strength, endurance, and vigor. Everything else I don't touch, resulting in me never taking advantage of all the goofy magic stuff that completely breaks the game. I don't even bother with ash summons other than the 3 wolves you get early in the game to act as a distraction when I fight. So with there just being effectively 3 bosses left till credits, I'm all "do I wanna bother?" There's still this other snow region that I haven't found my way to yet, but talking to Cooper about it (he beat it way before me), he said I wasn't missing much, which deflated my excitement in trying to get over there. A lot of the caves/catacombs are cookie cuttery, and I've done plenty of them, along with hero graves. Outside of that last region and finding more weapons, gear, and items that I will never use, I don't think there's much left in the game for me. I still absolutely loved it, but what I loved was exploring the world that one wrong step meant getting my ass handed to me. Not so much the bosses going "Nuh uh. No more exploration until you defeat me, mister!" Maybe I'll wait a while and then create a new character or something.
