Added 2021-09-14 02:59:03 +0000 UTCMy supervisor at work tested positive for Covid on Thursday, so I've been camping at home and missed work Friday. What happened was she came to work on Tuesday not feeling well, but the doctor she goes to who she had an appointment with for an unrelated issue is closer to work than her house (which is like 45 minutes away ish), so she decided to come to work anyway. So for most of Tuesday I was around 12-14 feet of her. She didn't come to work Wednesday or Thursday though. After I got the test Thursday night I went and got tested on Friday, except the one I got was not the speed test but the full on test instead. They said it takes 3-5 days to get the results back, so I'm just chillin' waiting to hear back. I don't feel bad or anything, plus I'm vaccinated so I'm not super worried or anything. But I fear if I'm asymptomatic with most of my coworkers being 50+ years old, that'll make for a bad combination. Rather not risk it. Issue now is there's currently nobody in the art department at my work, and my boss flew to California because his sister was severely ill and passed away this weekend. So not only is there now a major bottle neck at work, but I also don't even know who's technically running things at the moment. An overall shitty situation.
