DISCUSSION: Bi-monthly Radio?

Hello all,

Thank you all for watching and supporting Radio! This month was a real fun one and we're looking forward to the arcade themed show on August 21st.

We have been contemplating a bi-monthly Radio format for a few reasons:

 - The current Radio format gives us 2 weeks tops to pick and arrange tunes because we lose half the month to submissions and voting. It's doable, but obviously quite tight.

- We would like time to flesh out arrangements! I would be lying...

Main Theme (Punch-Out!!) [.WAV Download]

We've done 21 Radios. How has this show almost been going for 2 years? I guess it already is 2 years old if you account for COVID but oh well you make milestones out of anything so we'll celebrate at some other random time. Radio #120 is going to be Gacha games exclusively released on the Mongolian App Store at the rate we're pumping through these themes. Please be excited.

I'll save the existential crisis for the birthday Radio, but I will repeat until the cows come home that this show...

We had to do a bit of culling of some stuff that fell outside of the Consouls umbrella, but they were good submissions and some of them we already have in the vault anyway so... who knows? June Tune Submissions - Anything Goes!!

It's our birthday this month, so it's a VGM free for all! Any video game tune is eligible for submission this month, provided we haven't already arranged it. As for anime and other Consouls adjacent tunes? Scars of Time (Chrono Trigger) [.WAV Download]

Another banger from our last Radio set, Scars of Time but time signatures! Did you know retro game lunatics (read: me) use this game to test upscalers and TVs? Why? Gameplay runs at 240p, but the menus run at 480. You press pause and your TV freaks out. It's a good test to see if your TV can deal or not.

I mentioned this on Discord but I'll re-iterate here: Runback editing has been slightly delayed, so we'll double down on early videos for those next week. You'll still get your 2x early...

May Voting - Sports Games

Hey all,

Admittedly, this month's theme was a tricky one, especially if we banned the submissions of Drake's telephone composition... but with our birthday next month, you probably have a good idea of what's coming next. I've deliberately withheld a lot of the tunes that pushed the theme in order to see how those votes among more traditional sporty titles shake out. We might still choose those other tune as one of the band picks, or they might come up down the line who knows. Regardless...
