Everyone starts with a New Years resolution. A new army, a new project - a new vision. Here at Lil'Legend we're returning to an old love - ISSTVAN.

What is this? 

Return to Isstvan started as a world wide shared communal project at the height of the covid lock downs. It gave us a project we could all invest in, developing the beloved atrocity of Isstvan iii 

This year we go back to Isstvan v, to enact restriction upon Horus, crushing his rebellion swiftly beneath the heel of imperial retribution… or enact the warmaster’s plan, and drive onto terra. 

Cool! So what is this? 

Pick a faction from the Isstvan v atrocity, and post your allegiance on social media using the #returntoisstvan2025  

Every month we’ll do a check in on the # and promote work form artists all over the the world. 

We’ve decided the challenge for those who wish to collect a little, or those who wish to collect a lot. 

• Collect a 1k + strike force’ themed around an aspect of the massacre. Argel Tal and his brothers ascending to their god forms… Ferrus’s morlocks spearheading the assault…Marius verosian’s kakophoni choir…. 

This challenge aims to create a playable force 

• Collect a kill team - theme your models around lords retinue, a hunter cadre sweeping up resistance, an evacuation force etc 

This challenge is designed for those who want to create a highly bespoke collection of characters without the time investment of a full force. 

• Create a character/ scene from one of the source books. Corax ruined by the war, hunting traitors with a heavy bolter…Ferrus and Fulgrim’s fatal clash…Lorgar’s duel with Corax. 

This is designed to people who wish to create a single character based on the stories from the bald library novels of the forgeworld source books. Perfect for those who want to be involved but without the time involvement of a kill team. 

You are of course encouraged to set your own challenge - whatever fuels your imagination!
