Weekly Update (12/20/2022)

Ello everyone, time for the weekly post. Same excuse as always for this one not coming out on time - finnicky internet. Said it once and I'll say it again - thank goodness we can work on the game without a consistent connection.

Anyways, onto the cool stuff. Firstly, we're working on the backgrounds for this update. Since we don't have an official BG artist right now, our methods of getting backgrounds have been... a bit interesting. We got some new ideas recently though for how we might streamline that process of making BGs for the game, and have been experimenting with them this week. Seems like we're on to something, so we'll keep diggin' there. Here's one:

Next up, we worked on Céline's body issues. She's still hot - just maybe hotter now. As we mentioned in a previous post, we just weren't fully happy with a couple of the details, and it seemed easier to just remake her body now so it could be modernized for the idle animations and outfits we're now putting into the game. She was drawn pretty early on, so she was basically like a thousand years old in gamedev years. Didn't look a day over 28 though am I right fellas? Anyways, here's how it'll look, just missing color now:

And finally, a call to arms for all our mighty supporters. We're trying to come up with a name for our little seamstress that we'll be adding in soon - drop your suggestions below! As a reminder for personality, she'll be a relatively gentle-speaking, dark-mannered girl. She runs a clothing shop in the same town as Lucy's pawn shop, and found a passion in dressmaking. She likes to dress in a sort of "goth lolita" style. Here's a face to put next to your theoretical name:
