Greetings from Poland, where I am hiding indoors from a heatwave :)
My June 2025 was intense, still can not belive I did it all, haven't messed any scheduled planns, didn't get sick, didn't lose any luggage, cash, documents, and made it safely back to Europe
I started June in NYC where I had a chance to work with a great creative team of people for a fashion editorial. Did a last minute shoot with a friend and flew to Houston the same night.
It was my first visit of Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas), and I have to say I am very positively surprised. It is much more affordable, and I still was able to survive without a car (and I might do it again)
Houston was genuinely my most easy stay in America, as my Airbnb was located less than 10 min by Uber from most of the photostudios. I was able to cook all my meals at home, and I enjoyed rain + heat so much (it is my favorite weather ever)
In Austin I had one of the kindest hosts, in one of the nicest neighbourhoods, and I even did some sightseing between photoshoots.
Dallas was the hottest city of them all and I was very stubborn to walk instead of taking Ubers if it was less than 35 min on foot) so I was absolutely baked for half of the time :) And also by the time I arrived to Dallas, local moscitoes discovered that my exotic blood is very delicious for them.
On my way back from Dallas to NYC I had one of the longest flight delays since pandemic (4,5h!) but I made it to NYC exactly at a time where the heatwave arrived, so my experience of Texas was prolonged for one more week
Total shoots in June: 25 (!) including 1 workshop. Could be my absolute high score
2 sessions with artists
Cities visited: Nyc-Houston-Austin-Dallas-Nyc-Warsaw-Lodz
Theater shows visited: 1.
Oh, Mary! - it was fine, but out of all of my Broadway shows, this one is not very high in my personal ranking...
Museums visited: 1. Blanton Museum of Art. Loved it! Highly recommend!
New (old) projects: I started to post on Tiktok again, after a few years of break. Wish me luck with a new platform, as Intagram is clearly not what it was in the past.
