Update 01/13 - New Year, New Update!

Alfabusa here, hoping everyone's had a decent holiday break or a workable couple of workweeks.
We have of course returned, we officially got back last week but I decided to delay the Update 'til now just to get our bearings and break us in proper.
So, what is up?
Currently, we're right in the midst of working on a new kind of video, a sort of 'Video Essay', as is and has been popular on YouTube for the past forever.
We're creating an Introduction and Exploration of the World of Darkness setting and franchise with our very own SpeakerD, voice of Big-D, narrating proceedings.
It is admittedly a very experimental piece for us but we feel we've got something fun here, as you can see in the clip that you will absolutely understand 100% of what it refers to if you are a True Worldy Darkness™ Enjoyer already.
It's new and fresh for us to compose but we've still managed to make it familiar to our regular style...
Our purpose is to help those who are interested in knowing more about the setting that Hunter: The Parenting takes place, and also brainwash those people into eventually becoming fodder in our efforts in the Ascension War!
Just for transparency's sake, don't say we didn't warn you.
So far it's a lot of fun I think and we're hoping you'll give it a shot (with a shotgun, if neccesary).
Other than that, we're currently boiling in the broth of Half-Life once more, currently focusing on creating more art, recording the final voicework and composing the audio.
So, the animation hasn't properly started yet, but will soon after the Video Essay's done, which is a smaller workload by a long, long shot.
Otherwise, I'd like to just briefly thank you immensely once again.
We're now COMPLETELY stable financially, we've managed to pay back I think more than half of the IOUs we incurred in the last months and safety has set once again.
The only thing we need to do now is to continue concocting things you'll hopefully enjoy slapping with your sight.
That'll be that for this day's update.

I gave my money on the understanding that it was going to be used frivolously to fuel the high rolling lives of excess and debauchery for the team, but now I hear they've been using it to make wise investments to establish their ongoing success while also producing high quality entertainment content instead!? How are we to lure a new generation of video producers into the heady and adrenaline fuelled life of a YouTuber if we don't have stories of rockstar-like parties and extravagancies to inspire their hedonistic, lust-filled minds into the ultimately self-destructive spiral of wanton pleasures?

2023-01-14 20:51:56 +0000 UTCThis is just my current thoughts and wishes though and it’ll still likely take a good while before anything is decided upon. For now, we must ascertain that our current projects get room and effort invested in them. We must guarantee that we don’t put all our eggs in one basket again. Also, our current stuff is immensely creatively invigorating and the team behind WoD has treated us with immense respect and welcomed our content with wide open arms so we feel very at home currently and wouldn’t want to just drop that, of course.

2023-01-14 12:26:50 +0000 UTCThat being said, if we’ve waited several years and we don’t even see as much as a sign things will change, we’ll simply have to figure out a way to continue that plays within their ballpark, because we’ve PROMISED a continuation and we WANT to continue, we just are not at all keen on continuing to invest our time and effort into something that is explicitly against the IP holders demands, no matter whether or not they actually choose to ACT on their own official rulings (a fan-animation, that is). It’s absolutely not been decided how this would go about, but more non-animated, audio-based content like our current Audiolog stuff could work, and so could stuff like narrative battle reports, which would be a very neat combination, creating something highly inspired by Dawn of War’s storytelling.

2023-01-14 12:23:15 +0000 UTCOur intention is to continue the story in some fashion some day. Current remaining issue is of course that all fan animations are still considered infringements, even if non-profit.This ruling COULD still change some day, and we’d like to wait and see if it does.

Hope it resolves itself but this kind of decision is almost always made by higher-ups without any real view or notion of goings-on at ground level.
