Update 10/05 - Rendering is going a lot faster now

It's been about two weeks.
I'll keep this short and sweet since there's only one thing of interest currently.
If you read my extra update from last week, you'll know that render-times were horribly slow.
Well good news!
Thanks to the magical sorcery of saying fuck you to extraneous effects, changing codecs and rendering in a newer version of AE, I've managed to shorten render times by several weeks* (*in fact, not even hyperbole).
As an example, I was facing a 90 hour render time a few days ago.
I sighed as I felt death encrouch. I started googling, looking all over for ways to decrease this horrid render time.
I found some genuinely good suggestions and took to applying them.
It demanded some experimenting. The render did on multiple occasions just refuse to even function after changing codecs and using a newer version of AE, but after a whole lot of micromanaging I finally got it down to just 5 hours.
Going from 90 hours down to 5 hours is unparalleled.
The one 'downside' to this is that the quality is no longer lossless.
However, given that this is a series on YouTube and YouTube is already known for compressing my videos to the grave, you will more than likely not notice this.
All in all I am thankful, having staved off the maddening laughter of the Render-Time Deities for the moment being.
Oh I'm also done with the subtitles, so that's good.
I'll be keeping you updated on this. I am still unsure exactly how long it'll take for it all to finish rendering, but I am way more optimistic now because I know that it will not take another month.
Nightmare averted.

I believe patreon is foremost an incentive to continue current work and to expand it, I never expected exclusive content.

2019-10-06 00:30:28 +0000 UTCHaving a lossless file only matters if anyone can watch it at that quality anyway, which, the last time it was requested you said the file size was too big to be uploaded to MEGA. If there's no chance anybody could see it, there's no point. By the way, what are the chances of getting the old episodes in lossless video quality? I've heard you lost the files to the first ten episodes or so.
