Update 8/18 - Alfabusa är död

10 days have gone,
and TTS EP26 is now done.
Quite surreal.
The script for it has been around since 2015. It has gone through major rewrites since then of course, but it did still end up an absolute fucking mountain to climb.
Now, the mountain has been climbed.
It's time to climb something a bit smaller.

EP27 Update
The script for EP27 is on the verge of being finished.
It's significantly shorter than EP26 was. I am unsure exactly how long it'll end up, but I think (and am praying to the Great Horned Rat) that it'll end up shorter than 30 minutes.
Tomorrow, we're planning on going through it one last time to make sure it all sticks together nicely.
After that, it's time to pester voice-actors.

One thing that might take some time to finish completely for this episode is graphics. We have a whole load of stuff to commission artists for this time around. Characters, backgrounds, a stew pot, all kinds of stuff.
This might create some potential bottlenecks, but I'm hoping to focus on parts of the project that do not require this new art first, so the artists can get their time to finish up everything inbeforehand.

As I said in the last post, this episode will focus on Kitten and Magnus, as well as Magnus finally returning to the throne-room. Writing for this has gone swimmingly. The podcasts have really helped develop the dynamics between the characters that have been around in the throne-room, and Magnus has already been established throughout the series, so he fits in absolutely perfectly.

Now, of course, I am going to focus on making EP27 first and foremost. No podcasts, no BROTRIP, no specials, no shorts inbetween.
The one thing I am allowing myself to do between EP26 and EP27 is...

Upper Hive - A New Beginning
The majority of you may not remember a series of mine called 'Upper Hive' from 2015. That's fine, 'cause we're doing a reboot, and treating it like a brand new thing so as to not alienate any one of you.

For you unaware, the pitch is this;
A game of Werewolf/Mafia/Town of Salem, but in 40k, with significant people involved in the TTS Project as contenders.

If you don't know what Werewolf, Mafia or Town of Salem is, it can be summed up as a game of trying to find the killers in a crowd, before they kill everyone present.
The game goes in night and day intervals.
Each night, the killers (the Genestealer Cultists) secretly murders one of the helpless civilians.
Each day, the uninformed majority (the Imperials) tries to guess as to who amongst them are the killers, and vote to lynch them.
There is a bit more to it naturally, I actually highly recommend playing it if you haven't as it is tons of fun, but it's recommended for 8 players and up so might be hard to organize.

Here's the intro segment I'm planning on including:

'On the Hive World of Purgatory,
15 Imperial citizens live isolated in the Upper Spires of the planet's crawling cityscape.
But, what none of them expected to find out,
is that 3 of their numbers,
are actually vile Genestealer Cultists.
Now, the Imperial Citizens must spend their waking hours trying to determine who amongst them truly are the Genestealers, and vote to publicly execute them.
For if they don't, the alien crossbreeds will come for them during the night to devour their flesh.
Will the Imperial Citizens figure out who the Genestealer Cultists really are?
Or will the Tyranid offspring capitalise on the RAMPANT IRRATIONALITY of the Imperium, and consume all?'

Alright, that is all for Upper Hive. I am super excited to get to play it again after 3 years. Like, I cannot wait 'til next Saturday when we play it. I am dying to see it happen.
 

Other News
Don't have a whole lot of other stuff to update you about. I've been writing on EP28 a bit, structuring up stuff for the future. EP28 looks to be focusing on Kitten for the most part, which is great.
