EP26 Part 2 Update - THE SUN

It's been 10 days since the last update so I thought I'd put up another one!
What I can tell you first off is that I have not managed to edit another 9 minutes worth of video as I did in the first part of the month. In fact, I've only managed to get 2 minutes entirely done in the same time.
But, there is a reason for this!
What I've been editing in the last ten days has been THE heaviest scene in the entire episode. The entire series, in fact.
While the whole tabletop battle was, of course, heavy in terms of a lot of action going on over 10 minutes of time--these two minute are ones I've been dreading ever since the script was written, 'cause I knew they'd push my editing skills to the limit. Which they absolutely did.
But, not only were they hard minutes edit;
this scene, at first, took 50 hours to render.
...
Then, it crashed halfway through.
...
After that, I decreased the on-screen effects slightly and ended up with 30 hours instead, which I went with.
...
Then I had to fix a faulty effect which took another 15 hours.
...
So, all in all, it took ~60 hours to render.
Which means I could not edit anything other than subtitles for almost 3 days.
I'm hoping you'll see what I mean by 'heavy scene' when it's eventually released. You can see a screenshot of it up-top, but it might not tell you a whole lot.
Compared to this, and the tabletop battle scenes, the remaining scenes are all child's play. Next time I update, expect me to have gotten much further.

Probably why I never got into it myself. Still, thank you for all the work you put into this show, it's great. I actually managed to get my friend in warhammer through your series and now he's a huge fan of the universe. Can't wait to see the finished product! Ave imperator!

The Emperor with his uhh not Ecclesiarchy, the Ultramarines, (White Scars?), Custodes, a Primarch or 3 and finally and likely the strongest being the Black Templars (if the podcast is canon) Bro Crusade with the combined strength of the Salamanders, Raven Guard and the Catachan jungle fighters, with their trump card being Sly Marbo. And Finally there is the Inquisition with scraps of strong characters, a Primarch and potentially a few thousand Space Wolves. I wonder how they will all interact with each other?

2018-05-20 19:11:21 +0000 UTCI have not, I have only been focusing on EP26, and once EP26 is done, I will be focusing 95% of my time to EP27, just to see how long it'll take between releases if I work on nothing but episodes. After that, I'll give myself some time to work on other projects!
