BLOG: Writing, Writing, Writing + Sallas

It is harder than it sounds to write enough words every day. I post at least 4,000 words a week so I need to write at least that many to stay even and not fall behind. On some days that is easier than others.

Recently a major source of worry for me is the speed of my output and I think I've stretched myself too thin. Normally I have a few stories "saved up" to post so I can maintain my schedule but in recent months for one reason or another my numbers have declined to the point where I'm seriously worried about running out of stories.

Now, I don't want anyone to panic (least of all me but that's easier said than done!) because I have A LOT of stuff in progress. The problem is finishing it all. To give you an idea of what I mean I currently have 12 stories that I'm ACTIVELY working on. Whilst this is good because it means there's a lot to come it does mean progress on any one of them is slow. It's created a little bottleneck where I don't have too many completed stories ready to go but HOPEFULLY there will be a point where a lot these will be finished relatively soon.

There will be no interruption to my posting schedule. I want to stress that. But I do need to get the whip out and start really making myself work harder to write a lot of words everyday. This is the problem with being your own boss!

Anyway, the last part of Sallas will be posted tomorrow. I'd be interested in what people think of the story. I'd also be interested in how people feel about it's length, subject matter, etc. I realise I've actually been posting it for not too far off a full year which is kind of crazy!

I am an attention whore and I love feedback. I can simply never get enough of it so if you have opinions let me know. I don't mind criticism. If you think Sallas is crap just let me know, I have thick skin, I can accept criticism.

As a very minor spoiler I will say one of the stories I'm working on is a sequel which I don't think will be as long (there may also be a third story after that...)
