You didn't miss much tbh, your theories and questions are very interesting! This arc does feel a bit like Naruto's Chunin Exam Arc in a way and all the characters are soooo interesting and lovable. Lawine and Kanne are cute. I don't usually 'ship' characters together, but we all secretly believe those two have romantic feelings for each other. We finally meet my girl Übel, the only other female anime character that I've ever crushed on, besides Maki from JJK ...
