because of the reason the fights are so memorable in Frieren, Hunter x Hunter (HxH) is my favorite anime (next to Frieren). the story isn't built around the fights the fights are built into the story? something like that.

2025-06-14 04:51:19 +0000 UTCYup, this is an almost perfect anime. This episode + ep. 10 really go out to show this anime is more than it seems at first glance!! It doesn’t have a lot of fight scenes compared to others but, when they do happen, they are top notch. That plus the animation, the amazing storytelling and the great written characters puts it really high on my list. Also, the music elevates every scene and the OST has been on my Spotify playlist non-stop for over a year now. It’s just too good! Something that is inferred a lot during this episode is that having the most mana or being the strongest doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win a fight. It’s explored more next episode and throughout the season and I find it very cool, because it shows that just because you live a longer life (like elves and demons) or are very strong does not mean you’ll win every fight. Can’t wait for the next one!
